The Start of Something New

"I know that something has changed. Never felt this way."
When Olivia's parents were killed in a crash ten years ago, she left her home in England to live with a foster family. She left all of her friends, including her older and only guy friend Lewis. But when she gets into an incident with Niall from One Direction, both her and her sister Alexa's favorite band, both Olivia and the other boys instantly become close. But as the friendship grows, she discovers something that can change her life.

7. I kick british butt

Me and Niall took our seats in the dinning room. The dinning room could fit a whole thanksgiving feast with the combination of the boys families combined. I sat inbetween Louis and, of course, Niall. After our little moment we had at the front door, we just kept cool and acted like nothing happened. Alexa made steak and mashed potatoes, my second favorite meal that I love to eat. I was done with everything after 10 minutes. I was the fifth one to be done, Niall was obviously the first to be done after two minutes. Man, he eats faster than Austin when he eats a hamburger, or me whenever I eat deep-fried oreos. after a few minutes of anxiously waiting for the others to finish up, Liam takes his final bite of steak and we are done.

"Wow. Whoever cooked this is really good." Zayn said. Alexa started to blush. It was obvious that she cooked it since I was setting up the table and answering the door and Austin was being lazy and watching the Indians, who made a comeback in the bottom of the 5th.

"That was Alexa." I tell him. "She's a good cook, well, along with Annita."

"You call your parents by your first names?" Harry asks.

Me, Austin, and Alexa look at each other and I answer him, "Well, you see Harry, me, Austin, and Alexa aren't related by blood. We're foster kids."

Harry had a concerned look on his face, then Liam asked, "Well, how are you guys foster kids?"

Alexa answered, "Well, I came here from Avon, Ohio when I was 4 because my parents repeatedly abused me every day. Austin came here from Tallahassee, Florida when he was 5 because his mother didn't want a third child. And Olivia came here from England, I don't know where, when she was 7 because her parents were killed in a car crash."

"Alright, then. How about we go outside? It's a wonderful night, and we can play some football." Niall says. We all agreed and went outside. I knew football meant soccer in England. I played it when I was in Middle School. I was pretty good, but I think Austin mistook football for the kind that he plays and for the kind that he does football drafts with. I found my old soccer jersey and shorts, and changed out of my shirt and skirt. I knew I was going to kick some butt tonight.

When I got outside, I saw that the teams were already set up. It was me, Austin, Niall, and Liam against Alexa, Harry, Louis, and Zayn. I'm surprised Louis wanted to play. He's been so down lately, and now he's playing soccer with us. When we were about to start, I heard the doorbell ring.

"Don't start yet! I got to get the door!" I yell over Liam before he said go. I run inside and open the door to find Becca and Emma at the door. "Hey guys. We're just about to start a soccer game. You want to ref or watch?" I ask them.

"Sure, we'll go around to the backyard." Emma answered and left the front door. I ran through the house and out the back door and met them when they came around the corner. When they saw the boys, they were pretty shocked that they were here, but they kept calm like we promised if we ever met them. Well, I wasn't calm when I met them because I had a rock in my knee. So Becca decided to ref and Emma kept score. Now we were ready to play.

"Ready? Go!" Becca yelled and we started to play. I got the ball first, I passed it to Liam who passed it to Austin who passed it back to me. I reach the goal and kick it in. It soars past Harry and into the net. 1-0, us. Harry throws the ball to Louis who passes to Zayn who passes back to him. He kicked the ball towards the net and it goes in, passing Niall. 1-1, tie. After a grueling hour of sweat, pain, and blood (not literally), the final score came out to 4-3. We won.

We finally got a chance to relax and hang out for a while. I mean, the guys live about 5 minutes away from here, I can easily run there. Zayn suggests that we set up a fire, we all agreed. As Liam and Zayn got wood from the log pile and Alexa got the pit ready, I go inside to change out of my sweaty soccer uniform. When I get in there, who do I see? Louis. He's just looking around my room, I mean, it's just a normal room. My walls are green, my bedspread is purple, and my furniture is white. My fish, Tommy, is on my desk and I still need to feed him. I only have two posters, an "Imagine" one and a One Direction one. That's all.

"Oh, is this your room?" He asks.

"Yeah. Been that way for the past ten years." I answer.

"So your 17?"

"Yeah. Any more questions you want to ask, Mr. I have a lot of questions?" I ask sarcastically.

He's silent and looking around. He picks up a picture that I have on my desk. I have a lot of pictures of me and my friends. Me and Becca at homecoming, me and Emma at the championship track meet which I won my event, me and my friend Kate when we did our dance rountine for dance recital, and a bunch more. I walk over to see which picture he picked up. It's the picture of me and Lewis when I first met him at school when he read to me.

"Who's this?" He asks while still looking at the picture.

"Oh, that's me and my old friend Lewis. He's my friend from back home. I was with him when my parents died. He was my very first friend and I still miss him. I look at that every day and wonder where he is." I tell him.

Suddenly, he pulled out his phone and started to look through it. He then gave it to me and I looked at what was on the screen. It was the same picture of me and Lewis. The picture was titled: "Me and Olivia. Fifth grade." I look at him, then back at his phone, and repeated. I can't believe what's happening.

I was from Doncaster, England. Lewis' real name was Louis. And he's standing right in front of me. Louis Tomlinson was my old friend.
