One Kiss Doesn't Change A Thing ~COMPLETE~

Harry used to be my best friend. Then, he went off auditioning for the X-Factor. After he was formed into the amazing-oh-so-popular One Direction, we didn't talk as much as we used to. I don't know why. I mean, Harry was my best friend, but I always, and still do, had a crush on him. Then, he left me, and our relationship started to fade away. I recently moved to the USA, and that was when Harry and I lost touch. I through all the things that we did together all in a box and tried to forget about it.
What happens when Harry and Ava meet one day unexpectedly?

6. The Three Regina Georges

Ava’s POV

I tried to forget about Harry as much as I could. After MaryAnn left me, my mom came in and talked to me.

“Honey? Are you alright?” she knocks on my door and comes in.

“I saw Harry today.” I didn’t look up.

“Really? Was he happy to see you? How was he? You should have invited him over for dinner!” my mom got really excited about the news.

As I looked up, my mom saw my tears.

“Ava, what’s wrong? What happened?”
“He doesn’t remember me Mom, he doesn’t remember me.” I started to cry really hard.

“It’s okay, you have grown a bit since you last saw him.”
“He hasn’t talked to me since! He probably doesn’t even ask Anne about me anymore. He probably just forgot about me! It was my fault! If I hadn’t told him to audition for the X-Factor, he would still remember me! He doesn’t even wear his necklace anymore! He was the one who promised he would never take it off! He… forgot about me.”
“Oh Ava,” she hugs me, “do you want me to call Anne?”
“NO!” I yelled.

“I’m sorry Mom, I’m sorry.”

I cried myself to sleep laying in my mom’s arms.

Trying to forget Harry was going to be really tough because I went to a school filled with Directioners who just saw One Direction at the signing and/or concert, I couldn’t. There would be posters on girls’ locker. Every time I saw a poster of Harry, I tensed up a bit, but MaryAnn would calm me down. Then, the Spring Dance was coming up in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks in a couple of weeks. The spring dance at Colony Oaks High was a big deal. I mean, everyone went, with our without a date. But everyone would rather go with a date. I mean, who wouldn’t? It was the best dance of the year, and I have to say, the most romantic! I have never been, so I’m really anxious and excited to go! MaryAnn said that last year, it was really, the best dance ever! But, I have some doubts. About getting a date. You see, I’m not that popular, or that pretty as the other girls are. And as I mean the other girls, I mean Ella Millington, Jessica Shonter, and Rachel John. They already have dates. And their dates are the hottest football players you could ever lay eyes on. Lately, of course, Ella, Jessica, and Rachel all have been blabbing about how they met One Direction and how Ella Millington’s dad got them to go to lunch with them. They really did. They came to school on Monday freaking out while other girls stood around them while they said their little “story time.” I on the other hand didn’t care AT ALL. But Jessica noticed everything.

“Awww, look at Ava girls! Look at the way she has been acting lately ever since she ran away from Harry Styles teary eyed!”

I look at her with a what-are-you saying face?

“Yeah, Ava, I was there, next to you! I saw you talking to Harry, and then for some reason, ran away crying! Why were you crying? And then now, when we talk about One Direction, you don’t seem to care. I can see your body tensing up when we do. Is it because they don’t like you and they never will because of your ugly little face? Huh? Huh?”
Jessica has taken it too far. I mean too far. Tears started to form in my eyes; I couldn’t let her see I’m crying. I got the nerve to keep the tears for later, and say, “That wasn’t me talking to Harry. I’m not a fan of One Direction, Jessica. Just leave me alone.” And with that, I walked away to class.

“Good luck finding a date to the Spring Dance!” Jessica yelled to me across the hall. Everyone started to laugh, while I started to cry.

I entered the cafeteria and everyone stared at me. I grabbed some food and went to a corner to eat. I see MaryAnn running towards me.

“What happened!?” she asked out of breath.

As I told her the story, I could see her face getting mad. Then she went up to the three Regina Georges at this school and told them to back off. What did they tell her? “Good luck finding a date to the Spring Dance!”  So? Who needs a date? MaryAnn and I will go without a date!

“I’m so tired of her!” MaryAnn comes back to eat lunch.

“I know right. I say at the Spring Dance we help out.”

“That’s a great idea Ava! But don’t worry; I have a dress perfectly for you. I saw it yesterday. We’ll go take a look at it after school. Trust me, you’re going to look like an angel and all the guys will ditch their dates and ask you to dance!” she said gleamingly.

“Haha okay MaryAnn. What about you? Did you find a dress?”

“I don’t know. We’ll look after school.”
