One Kiss Doesn't Change A Thing ~COMPLETE~

Harry used to be my best friend. Then, he went off auditioning for the X-Factor. After he was formed into the amazing-oh-so-popular One Direction, we didn't talk as much as we used to. I don't know why. I mean, Harry was my best friend, but I always, and still do, had a crush on him. Then, he left me, and our relationship started to fade away. I recently moved to the USA, and that was when Harry and I lost touch. I through all the things that we did together all in a box and tried to forget about it.
What happens when Harry and Ava meet one day unexpectedly?

20. I'm Really Happy

Harry’s POV

I woke up and stretched. Oww, my back was killing me! I rubbed it a little to make it feel a bit better. I looked at Ava. When is she going to get up? I checked my phone. It was Monday, May 2. No one was coming today. My mom was helping out Daniela around the house, while Daniela went to work. MaryAnn obviously had to go to school today, but I think she was going to come in the afternoon. I think she has some kind of commitment to go to though. And the boys are still on tour. The tour is almost done. Tonight was the last show. Niall, Zayn, Liam, and Louis were expected to come here Friday after some interviews and signings, and we’re expected to back to England a week after Friday.

I had a good feeling, for some reason. I was in a really happy mood. With my free hand, I checked the messages on my phone. Liam was telling me that they all miss me and blah blah blah and how lonely the boys were without me. He texted me:

“HAZZA! we miss you mate! It’s quiet without you.. well not necessarily. Louis is stealing Niall’s food and things are kinda crazy. How’s Ava doing?”

Typical text. I expected that. I texted him back telling him to enjoy them and I told them Ava was still in the same condition. I checked on twitter and something caught my eye. One of the trends was, #GetBetterAva. I smiled and tweeted everyone thank you for your prayers. A few minutes later the nurse brought me some breakfast. I was just finishing my eggs and bacon when a little girl came in the room. She walked in quietly and I could tell the 7 year old was a bit shy.

“Hi there!” I smiled at her.

“Hi Harry.” I could see in her hands she had a poster or two and a pen. She walked up to me and said, “I’m Dr. Steve’s daughter and I love you so much! Can you sign these?” she handed me the two posters. I happily signed them and gave her a hug. Her dad came in and took a picture of us.

Then I had to go to the bathroom really bad. I never wanted to go to the restroom because I was afraid Ava was going to wake up when I was gone. I wanted to be the first thing she sees when she wakes up. I couldn’t hold it any longer. I left hoping she didn’t wake up. But when I got back, I saw Ava sleeping in a different position. She turned around. SHE MOVED. I ran out of the room yelling for a doctor. Dr. Steve came running towards me.

“What happened? Is Ava okay?”

“She moved!! I went to the restroom for a few minutes, and she moved!”

He rushed towards her. He performed some who knows what on her. I squished her hand so hard. “Come on, Ava! Come on!” I squeezed her hand again.

She squeezed my hand.

“AVA!” I hugged her so hard that the doctor told me to go lightly.

“Hey Ava.” I was so happy I was literally crying.

She smiled at me. “Hey Harry.”  Then she frowned.

“How many times have I told you I HATE PEOPLE WHO WAKE ME UP!” she was literally screaming in my face.

My face got red. And then all of a sudden she started to laugh. What does she mean wake up?

“You’ve been asleep for all this time and was never in a coma?” I asked her confused.

“No, I woke up last night, and then I fell back asleep.”

“It’s good to see you back Ms. Hunter. Harry here has rarely ever left your side.”

She gave a small smile. I missed seeing her smile and laugh so much. I missed seeing her happy self. I’m glad she’s back.

I’m really glad she’s back.
