1. Chapter 1

Happiness (noun)

The quality or state of being happy. Good fortune; pleasure; contentment; joy

Happiness develops in all of us at some point in our lives whether it be through good fortune or joy. We all feel it as some point or another. It’s fact. There is always someone or something that can make you happy. But what makes you smile inside or on the outside, as that is the main way to tell someone is happy. However do we know what we really want do we know what makes us happy? Is happiness just a feeling that is there to satisfy curiosity? There is nothing wrong with curiosity, all the great scientists were curious at some point or another weren’t they, Archimedes exclaiming ‘Eureka’ when his bath overflowed and Newton when the apple dropped. You see these are both people who have changed our lives forever all because they were curious. But did there curiosity make them happy. I suppose at the moment i am truly in earnest of finding happiness. Maybe i don’t really know what I’m looking for; maybe my curiosity will take me there.

There are songs out there that make us smile, we remember the first time you heard them, who you were with and how you felt. Old songs make me smile. Most of them i can remember growing up too, if i have had a bad day first think i do is shut my bedroom door, put my headphones in my ears and enter a different world. This is what makes me happy most, when you can relive happy memories without having to go back to places that you had them. This is when I’m truly happy.
