26. Oath of Silence

I wake up on the cold concrete.
I open my eyes to see someone bending over me.
My vision is bit blurred, so I can't tell who it is.
They help me to sit up.
"Are you okay?" they ask.
If the voice wasn't enough for me to figure out who it is, my eyes readjust to being awake and I see their face.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to find you."
"You scared me!"
"I know, I'm sorry. But I didn't think you'd pass out."
He helps me up.
I brush myself off.
"Well I did."
"At least I protected your head from the pavement," he laughs.
"I'm glad you think it's so funny."
"I'm sorry Amanda Banana."
"I never said you could call me that," I snap.
He mumbles something.
"Stop with the mumbling Louis! Just tell me to my face how you feel for once!"
"What are you talking about?"
"I heard you talking to Harry. I know what you think about me."
"You do?"
"Yes, I do. And if I disgust you so much, just tell Paul to call off the whole fake relationship!"
"Amanda, you-"
"No Louis- enough! Enough with telling me all this shit to make me feel better!"
"Mandy, please, I-"
"Stop! I know I'm not pretty. I know I'm fat. I know it all Louis! So just take your fake apologies and-"
"AMANDA," his voice is stern as he grabs my hands forcefully, "you need to listen."
"No, no. I'm done listening. And I'm done with you. Part of me actually thought we could be friends!" I let out a hearty chuckle, "But you're not even capable of feeling normally towards me, let alone friendly!"
I pry my arms from his hands and walk away briskly.
"Louis," I say without turning around, "just don't talk to me anymore."
"What about our relationship?"
"We'll see about that. I'm calling Paul."
I walk home with Louis right on my heels. He attempts to talk to me several times, but I either ignore him or come up with rude remarks.
When I get home, I see that Marie is gone.
"Come on mate," Niall says to Louis when he walks through the door.
"Time to go," Harry says, "we've been waiting for you."
"You might wanna stay a bit," I tell Harry, "I'm calling Paul."
I start to dial as the boys talk to each other.
"Why is she calling Paul?"
"She doesn't wanna date me anymore."
"Long story."
Paul finally picks up.
"It's Amanda, Louis's fake girlfriend."
"Okay, what's up?"
"How do I get out of this?"
"I wouldn't suggest that."
"Why not?"
"Have you talked to Louis about this?"
"What does he say?"
"I don't care. I'm done with him."
"I can't do it right away."
"Why not?"
"It'll take a few months or so. Can you wait until the tour starts?"
I let out a big sigh and look over at Louis.
I feel the tears start to form in my eyes.
"Yeah, sure, I can wait."
I hang up the phone and turn to Louis.
"A few months. And then I'll never talk to you again."
