5. funeral

Maddie's P.O.V

A few days have passed since the incidents. I woke up and looked at all my scars, all five. I haven't gotten out of bed since. I couldn't stand going out of my house, all the judgement. It was his funeral today. I put my hair in a messy bun and grabbed a random black dress and sunglasses. I was thinking why do people dress nice to bad things.

Emma drove. We arrived at the funeral home. I didn't talk to anyone, I couldn't. It was the time when people were asked to say nice things about Tommy. I let a few of his friends go up first, I couldn't pull myself together, I walked up and everyone gasped as they saw my wounds.

"As you all know I'm Madison, Thomas' twin sister. I want to start off by saying that this hard for me. I can feel his pain" Everyone started crying. "Some of you may of heard what happened that second he got hit by the car." some nodded, some looked in question as I continued. "when he got hit by the car I was trying on a dress in a little boutique and I felt it" I continued my speech with tears rolling down my face.

The funeral ended and it was time to put him to rest. We slowly dropped the casket. Jenna pulled a black and white picture out of her hand bag and slowly place it on top of the casket as she slowly places a hand on her stomach. She is expecting.

I slowly walk over to her and hold her hand. She is only 18 but she will make the greatest mother. My mom notices the activity as do the rest of the crowd. "Tommy would be so happy". My mom begins to say, but I interrupt her. "He is happy. Happiest he has ever been."
