The Madman with a Box

Milly Hansles is mostly normal, mostly normal life, mostly normal boyfriend, mostly normal friends. But she will never be completely normal. As a child, she was saved by a magical man who called himself “The Doctor.” Milly was intrigued by this strange man-well, he was an alien actually, but he looks like a man-especially by his blue box. She was in it for a few minutes, although she barely realised. Now she’s “grown up”, apparently, she wants to find him. But how can you find a time-tavelling madman with a box?

"Ooh!" laughed Flynn. "Look at the size of the telly!" He put the boxes carefully on the and ran to it. I rolled my eyes and put my boxes down and practically dive-bombed onto the armchair before he could sit on it. It creaked alarmingly. "Ah..."

Flynn laughed at me and sat down in the sofa next to me, grinning like he was proud of himself. I threw a cushion at him, which hit his nose. I giggled.

"Oh, it's on!" Flynn said, faking anger. He threw it back, hitting me on the head. I squealed and started to slap him with it repeatedly, giggling madly the whole time. He crossed his fingers.

"Pause!" he yelled and ran out of the room. Worried, I hid under the kitchen table, clutching the cushion to my chest as if to protect myself. I didn't think about how much space there was between the floor and the table. "Ow!" I squeaked.

Oh. Flynn's back. "I heard you!" he said and I saw his feet make their way towards me. I shuffled backwards. I hit a chair and it moved. "Oh! I know where you are Milly!" he laughed and he ran to the table. I watched his feet stop just in front of my head.

Suddenly, his grinning face appeared in front of me. "Oh, hello Milly," he said in a fake posh voice. "I seem to have found your little hiding place. And I have a house warming present for you, so come out."

Tentatively, I crawled out of my hiding place, holding the cushion above my head in protection. I looked up at Flynn, who was still grinning. His hands were behind his back.

"What are you hiding?" I asked, looking behind him. He moved quickly, so I couldn't see. "N-nothing," he said. He's lying. I can tell because when he lies, he blushes.

"Flynn," I said. "Tell me." I ran to him and suddenly I got hit with a pillow. Not a sofa cushion, a pillow from a bed. A big one. I squealed and fell dramatically onto the ground.

"Okay, you killed me," I giggled. "And now help me up!" He extended his hand and I took it. When I was back on my feet, I hit him with my cushion. "Pillow fight ended," I announced. "Truce?"

He rolled his eyes and pulled me into a hug. "Truce."
