11. Last Minute Plans

“Please Ariana?” Harry asked, his voice slightly raised in a plea. “Are you going to the Olympics or not? I need to know now.”  His face was full of frustration, but again, that could have just been the grainy quality of the webcam. Bags hung under Harry’s eyes from lack of sleep as his eyes, now dull, stared into the computer screen. There was still a little twinkle in his eye, that just got her every time. Harry still looked dashing.

“I… I don’t know,” Ariana stammered out, her eyes warily looking away. Between exams and her studies, there wasn’t any time to travel. She hated that she had to deal with the stupidity of year-round school that the county decided on. Besides, there were colleges to tour, so said her parents.

Ariana looked up to Harry, unable to hide his disappointment. He had given up so much for her. Harry could have had anyone, and he chose her. How had she deserved such an amazing guy?

“But maybe,” she added, not wanting to disappoint Harry. “I could catch a last minute flight.” Ariana watched as his eyes instantly sparkled, filling themselves with their color once more. He smiled, his cheek embedded with his cute dimples.

“That would be amazing,” Harry replied, taking out his phone. “I will have everything arranged by Match…” He looked up, biting his lip, “Just like the first time we met.”

“Let me know about the details,” Ariana replied, a smile stretching across her face. She hadn’t been to London in what felt like an eternity. Picking up a textbook, she dropped it on her lap and began to flip through it. There was so much to be done. “For now, the textbooks are calling.”

            “Bye, love.”

“I love you too,” Ariana replied with a smile.
