“How was your flight?” Harry asked Ariana through the phone as he sat in the car. Evelyn, Danielle, Eleanor, and the boys chatted away as they drove to the Olympics. It was exhilarating. This would be one of the biggest performances of their careers.

Ariana looked around the busy street, trying to hail a cab from the airport that would dare to drive her to the Olympics. Traffic was completely mad! There was no earthly way she would be able to make it on time. But… how to tell Harry?

“Harry, I hate to break it to you,” Ariana replied, furiously trying to get a car. Listening into the phone, Harry was deadly silent. Even the chatter from everyone in the background faded. They knew that something went wrong. “There is terrible traffic. And not a single taxi will take me.”

There was silence. Harry didn’t dare speak.
“I don’t know if I will make it there in time,” Ariana quickly added. She hated those words. She wanted to come, but it was this stupid traffic.

“You’re sure?”Harry asked, desperate to make sure she could see their Olympic performance. “There isn’t any other way to-“ Harry was cut off, as their driver signaled they were approaching the gate. Ariana instantly picked up on this, even though she couldn’t see what was happening.

“Go sing your heart and soul out,” Ariana choked out, her eyes welling with tears, though she knew not to let her voice show it. “I’ll be there as soon as I can. Let everyone start crying because of your beautiful solo.”

“No,” Harry replied quickly, “The next time I sing the solo, it will be to you in person.”
