We had two weeks before the concert. To me I was seeing it as a night that could change my life, and to Melanie it was just going to be another fun night. But one thing we were on the same page about was needing an amazing outfit. We didn't know where to start besides the obvious stores such as Forever 21, H&M, and American Eagle. First we went to American Eagle to check out some pants. I must say it was very successful! Melanie got grey wash jeggings with sparkles that started at the waist and faded down to the knees. I just got some ripped up jeggings that were a darker wash. My favorite kind of pants. Next we went to H&M to see if we could find any shirts. Melanie got a white flowey tank top that had black buttons that went all the way down. I didn't really find anything that caught my eye, so we moved on to the next store. Forever 21, my absolute favorite store ever.
When we walked in I had to go through the entire store to explore every single option possible. Eventually I pulled my whole outfit together. I had the jeggings from American Eagle, and then at Forever I got a shirt that started dark purple at the top and faded until it was white at the bottom and it also came off the shoulder. I also got a silver necklace that had a microphone hanging off of it, some simple studs for my ears, and a couple of thin silver bracelets. Mel got big silver hoops and a two finger ring that was a cross. I thought we were going to look amazing. Now the only thing left was to get shoes.
Melanie got a pair of simple black flats from Journeys and then we went over to Zumiez to get mine. I was debating on getting a pair of grey vans, or going to another store to get grey heels. I decided to get the grey vans from Zumiez but I was going to do something special to them but first we needed to stop at a craft store. When we got to AC Moore I found exactly was I was looking for. Silver spiked studs. I was going to put them on the tops of my shoes. I was so happy that I was finally able to do this because I saw a picture one time on instagram and have been dying to get a pair and some studs. I think they came out pretty well! Now I was even more excited for the concert knowing we were going to look just totally cute.
* 2 WEEKS LATER*
Today was the day. The day I had been waiting for since I listened to that first song. Oh that song it will never get old. What Makes You Beautiful. No matter how old the song gets, or even I get that song will always have special place in my heart because it was what started to mend my broken heart.
The concert started at 8 but we were aloud to get to the venue at 6 since we could go to sound check. Mel came over around noon and we went out for frozen yogurt downtown and got our nails and our eyebrows waxed, and then we went back to my house so we could get ready. We took our showers, mine like literally lasted for like 40 minutes because I shaved, washed my hair twice, and scrubbed my body down so much. All while listening to One Direction of course. I had two mirrors in my room, a full body one and one on a desk that held my make up and hair products. Melanie used the full body one, and I sat at my desk to get ready. By the time we started doing our hair and make up it was already 3:30. I wanted to leave by 5, but beauty takes time. My hair also takes a little longer because I had my extension to curl also. I really take pride in how I look, because I really enjoy doing hair and make up, it's like my only talents. You know like I may have fake hair, fake nails, and fake lashes, but at least my personality is real and I'll be straight up with you. Sorry I like to look good.
Melanie decided to straighten her hair and do a bump. Her make up was pretty simple with very light blue eye shadow and eyeliner only on the top. I curled my hair and twisted my bangs back. I did a black and purple smokey eye with eyeliner on the top and bottom and put my eyelashes on. I think my eyes really popped. And I was very very pleased with how I looked and Melanie looked really good as well. We were only running a little late it was about 10 past 5 so we should actually arrive a little after 6. Oh well, fashionably late right?
We parked and walked into the entrance showing the badges we received in the mail with our tickets. I was like screaming on the inside and on the outside I looked pretty calm...ish. Mel and I were smiling from ear to ear. I wanted to take a picture of us walking in and post it on instagram. So after I took it we kept walking and I was deciding on what filter to use when all of a sudden I saw my phone fly out of my hands, my head hit something hard, and then it went black.
