The next day I woke up early. I showered, brushed my teeth, and changed into a clean pair of yoga pants and a white vneck. I braided my wet hair and went back to bed. Harry was sleeping on my floor. My mom made up the bed in the guest room but he said he wanted to keep an eye on me. I didn't need to be looked after. I didn't ask for anyone to see me, or check up on me. I only asked to be left alone and for Niall back. Even saying his name makes my eyes water. God, I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. This really is all my fault. I complained about him not making us official, I complained about not having sex, I complained about not being a public couple, I complained about having too much sex, and then I basically cheated on him. I'm a terrible person. Still no one knows why he left, we haven't told anyone. At least according to Harry the boys don't know and my mom and Mel don't know. I was about to go back to sleep when I felt weight added to my bed.
"Good morning beautiful, how are you feeling today?" Harry asked sweetly.
"Actually a little better. I've already showered and picked at my brain all morning."
"What are you thinking about?"
"How I'm a terrible person and this is truly all my fault and I need to stop feeling sorry for myself." I said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"This is not all your fault and you're defiantly not a terrible person. I also don't think you're feeling sorry for yourself, you're just heart broken." Harry said moving closer to me.
"You don't know what happened!"
"Why don't you tell me then?"
"You would hate me."
I sighed. "Long story short, Gino came over. I wasn't thinking and I let him in. He showed me everything your fans were saying about me. I got really upset and he was there to comfort me. He really was trying to make me feel better. Then one thing led to another and Niall walked in on us on the couch making out, but it looked like we were about to have sex. They fought, I was trying to stop it and got elbowed in the nose. I yelled at Gino to leave, Niall packed his bags. I begged him not to leave, he left." When I finished my story I looked down and just played with my fingers.
"Wow. Why would you let things get that far?"
"I really don't know. Nothing was going through my mind besides that someone was there caring for me."
"He wasn't here. He wouldn't even show me what people were saying."
"He was trying to protect you. Everything they said was such a lie, why would you even listen. They don't know you."
"I had the right to know. And you know, maybe some things they were saying were true. I obviously don't deserve him. But for three wonderful months, I was the luckiest girl in the whole world."
"Now that's feeling sorry for yourself. Believing anything haters would say."
"I don't care. They got to me, they really did."
"Well fuck them. They're not real fans if they don't support what makes us happy."
"Yeah, well I guess it's too late now. At least I lost weight. But if they saw me now I'm sure I would be anorexic instead of fat."
"You were never fat, but you're defiantly too skinny now. We need to get some meat on your bones. You look sick and this makes me sad Leese."
"I'm not hungry. I'm really not."
"Well I'm going to make you eat something today. I know you like spaghetti and meatballs, I'll make you dinner. I promise that's all I'll make you eat today."
"Ok. But I'm not going to eat much."
"You'll eat as much as I give you."
"You're a really good friend."
"I'm going to make you better and get you healthy."
"Could you... never mind."
"Could I what?"
"Could you help me get Niall back?"
"Well, I don't know if that's really my place."
"Please Harry, I just need to try and I need your help."
"Well we could try, but if nothing works, please promise me you'll try to move on."
"Promise." I said reluctantly.
Melanie ended up coming over and her and Harry hung out while I stayed in bed as usual. When it was dinner time I went downstairs to the dinning room. It felt weird, I seriously haven't been down there in a couple weeks. Dinner was delicious. I ate a whole meatball and a small portion of pasta. I was filled quickly though. Harry even had me drink whole milk. He was so sweet. He promised me before we went to bed and after Melanie left he would talk to Niall and let me listen to their conversation. I cleaned up dinner, put away left overs, and washed, dried, and put away the dishes. It was the least I could do. Mel and Harry were watching television. It was nice seeing them together again, I wish they would date.
At about 9 Mel went home and Harry took a shower I went up to bed and put his things on my bed. He could sleep up here if he really wanted to 'keep an eye on me'. I waited patiently for him to get back in here. I was very anxious for the phone call of course!
"Harry!" I called to him.
"I'm coming!" Finally he walked in. "Wow!"
"You're smiling. I've missed that."
"Oh I didn't even realize that." I said blushing.
"Nervous but yeah."
"Alright, let's do this." Harry said while getting into bed. He called, but there was no answer. "Sorry Leese. He might be busy working on some things for the new album."
"Probably." I said quietly. We sat in silence for a few minutes. Then it was like a freaking miracle.
"Hello!" Harry said answering his phone and putting it on speaker.
"Hey, sorry I missed your call." Niall said. God I missed that voice.
"What are you up to?"
"Nothing much, looking at pictures for our cover."
"Oh that's cool. How's everything going?"
"Fine, just fine. How is... America?" Niall asked with hesitation.
"Do you really want to know?"
"I guess I would like to, yeah."
"Why don't you talk to her yourself?"
"Because I'm heartbroken, you know this. I'm not ready."
"Niall, I wish you were. She wishes you were. If you could see her, man I don't even know."
"What are you talking about?" Niall asked worried.
"Honestly, she's a mess. She has lost so much weight, she doesn't leave her bed besides to shower. I finally got her to eat something besides crackers today."
"Is she sick?"
"I think so, she's defiantly not in a good place physically or mentally."
"Is there anyway you can get her some help?"
"No Niall. She doesn't want help. She doesn't even want to talk to anyone besides you. She just holds her phone all day hoping to hear from you for the past like almost two months. When I first saw her, my heart broke Niall."
"I don't even know what to say. Come on Harry, I love her, you know I do. But she also broke my heart, she cheated on me."
"I know, she told me the story. What she did was wrong yes, but you shouldn't have walked out like that."
"Well as if she would just forgive me if I called her tomorrow, and I don't know if I can even forgive her. That day is always on replay in my mind."
"I bet if you even sent her a text that might even motivate her to get out of bed for the day."
"I don't even like imagining her like that."
"Well at least you don't have to see her like this. I just want to help her."
"I should be."
"Yeah, you should be."
"I have to go."
"Talk to her please?"
"I'll think about it."
"Well have a good night man."
"You too, take care of her please."
Then the conversation was over. I intently watched and waited for my phone to light up, hoping Niall would text or call me. I waited and waited. Harry even fell asleep. I never got anything. I really thought I would of, but I guess that's what I get for getting my hopes up. Disappointment.
