I woke up the next morning in my bed, under my duvet with another blanket on the top. I got up and looked in the mirror. I was crying so much, how come my eyes aren't red and there's no make up smudged, or left on my face either? I noticed a note pinned to the mirror frame.
I'm still here. I knew you dad was leaving so I didn't want to leave you alone! Hope I didn't wake you?:)
I smiled, he really did care! I realised I was smiling and couldn't stop, no matter how hard I tried. I then smelled pancakes wafting through my house. Haha oh god. I ran downstairs.
"Morning! Sleep well?" Noah was standing at the oven cooking pancakes.
"No way!?" I laughed as I sat at the table.
"Yes way!" He laughed too as he placed pancakes infront of me, whipped cream, ice-cream, sauce, everything but the kitchen sink! I wasn't planning on eating but he was so happy and for the first time in a while, I was too.
"Oh my god, Noah, these are amazing!" I laughed between mouthfulls.
"I know!" he replied winking at me. After a bit of a silence as we enjoyed our pancakes,
"Thank you!" I blurted.
"For what?" he laughed, looking puzzled.
"Oh," his face dropped, "don't mention it. I'm just glad someone knows how I feel. Well actually, I'm not because it's the worst thing ever, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy to be honest!" A tear escaped his eye. I pretended I didn't see.
"Why?" I asked, wondering wether I should've said that actually, "Why did you do it?" Oh no, what the hell did I do?! Shit, I really shouldn't have said that, oh lord, he-
"Well, because, no one knows! No one knows me! No one knows what happens behind closed doors!" he got really angry and upset, "I just-" he sighed, "I don't know..."
"Noah, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked that, it's none of my business.." I stated.
"Don't worry, it's okay, I'll tell you if you want?"
"No, no it's okay! Don't do anything you don't want to!" I smiled. He smiled back. I looked up at the fridge. It said 'I CARE' in magnetic letters. I laughed. Noah turned around to see what I was laughing at.
"Oh," he chuckled as he continued to eat.
