* Charlotte's POV
Niall, Zayn, and Louis cam back with a few drinks and I grabbed one. I moved from my chair to Harry's lap. He smiled and started to play with my hair. He twirled it around his finger. I felt so content at this moment. Like nothing could go wrong.
I leaned into Harry and kissed his cheek. I turned my attention back to Louis who was in the middle of some sort of joke. Suddenly his face turned pale and he looked like he was going to throw up.
His attention was on something high up. I scanned the roofline of the hotel and then my eye caught something on a balcony. A girl stood on the railing, looking like she was about to jump.
It was Alli.
* Louis' POV
Zayn, Niall, and I brought drinks back to Char, Hailey, and Harry. I watched the girls cuddle up to their boyfriends and I felt sad that I didn't have anyone special to call my own.
Well I did have someone I had fallen for, but they were already taken.
I tried to cheer myself up by telling a funny joke. Niall and Zayn were laughing along when I noticed something. Or someone.
A girl in a pretty white dress stood perched atop the railing of a balcony looking ready to jump.
Reality hit me as I realized it was Alli.
* Hailey's POV
Niall, Louis, and Zayn came back with drinks for all of us. I hopped off of the chair I was sitting in to go and cuddle with Niall. He looked so happy and carefree, but the thought of Alli's little meltdown earlier today still haunted me.
I felt like there was something more to the story but I don't know, maybe not.
Louis was telling a joke when it happened. His face turned pale and a sickening look crossed his face. I look at Char and she looked a little green, terror filling her eyes. Harry looked up and looked like he was going to pass out. Zayn was next, he glanced at Harry, who pointed upward and then Zayn started to freak out.
The gears in my brain turned slowly. I turned to Niall who looked like nothing I'd ever seen before. Tears poured down his cheeks and he started to sob.
What the hell was happening?
I was afraid at what I would find when I looked up, but nothing could've prepared me for what I did see.
On the balcony stood a girl. On the balcony, was a girl dressed in a white dress and looking beautiful as always. On the balcony, was family. On the balcony, was Alli.
* Liam's POV
My body jolted awake. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. It had been an hour. I stood up and the pepsi can rolled out from underneath me. So much for staying up all night.
I stretched and yawned. Something seemed off. Alli.
She wasn't on the couch. I dashed over to the bedrooms but she wasn't there. She was still missing after I checked the kitchen and the bathroom. My body heaved with sobs and I was looking for something to punch when I noticed something out of the corber of my eye.
The curtains from the doors leading out to the balcony where open. I whipped around and ran outside, but Alli wasn't there. She wasn't anywhere.
I turned to the table and saw the note. I read it and my vison blurred. I heard screams and shouts coming from the pool but I blocked it all out.
I failed. I failed at the one thing that was most important to me. Alli. To keep Alli safe. I had failed.
I was too late.
