* Liam's POV
It all went in slow motion. My mind was cloudy. I had a hard time understanding or comprehending what was going on. One moment, Alli is standing there. The next? I didn't have time to think. Barely time to breath.
I was standing maybe five, ten feet away from her, glancing at an old watch. She was chatting with Louis about some old peice of junk that they both found hilarious for some reason. I wasn't very interested in the conversation.
Zayn was a few yards away strolling down an aisle with pictures hung up along the walls. Char and Harry were over in front of the cash register and Hailey and Niall were in front of the window at the front of the store goofing around.
The scream comes seemingly out of nowhere, but the minute it pierces the air I recognize it as Alli's. My mind works at a slow pace, the gears in my head cranking to life. On instict I jumped up and over to where she was standing.
She had collapsed in Louis' arms. Thankfully, he was there to catch her. Her eyes had this glazed over look and they had an opaqueness to them. I shook my head to try and clear my thoughts.
I saw everyone else rushing over to us. There were some shouts, I later realized most of them were mine. This wasn't happening. Not again.
Everything was suppose to finally be perfect. It was suppose to finally turn out right. I couldn't help myself. I turned and punched the nearest thing, a tall, skinny mannequin. It's head wobbled off as I made contact with it's plastic stomach.
Niall grabbed my shoulders and shook me. He was yelling in my ear but I couldn't hear anything. I blocked out the world. Nothing but Alli mattered.
I jerked out of Niall's grip and stumbled over to Louis with a trembling Alli in his arms. I swiveled her around until she was facing me. Her frail body shook violently.
I cupped her face in my hands. Warm tears trickled down her face.
"Alli, what happened," my voice sounded distant to me.
"It's- it's- th-that," she said, pointing a trembling finger.
