The next morning I woke early, due to a crazy dream I was having. In the dream, I was with One Direction and Sadie, and we were having the time of our lives. When I looked out the window, I saw what looked like Big Ben. After furiously rubbing my eyes, I hopped out of bed and walked up to the window. What I saw made me realize my dreams were extreamly true. Then I was hit by the memory of the past 24 hours.
Sadie and I arrived at rehersal and Liam, Zayn and their drummer, Josh, were already there. We went to a quiet room and did warm ups and by the time we came back into the main rehersal room, everyone else has arrived. I noticed Harry instantly and gave him a small smile. He replied with a wink and a warm greeting smile that filled my entire heart.
We were givin instructions on how rehersals would run from now until the tour began. We would run everything like an actual show, which ment me and Sadie were first. We stood behind a curtin and listened to the booming announcers voice.
Please welcome, the duo taking over the internet and hearts everywhere, PINK Wednesday!
A silly name to hear, yes, but PINK Wednesday was such a special name to myself and Sadie. We were both huge Mean Girls fans, and had been wearing pink every Wednesday for years. So the name was rather fitting. We knew it was perfect the moment Sadie thought of it.
I stepped onto the stage and heard the beging of "Beautiful" by Christina Agulera start to play. Since we didn't have any original songs, we were doing all covers for the tour. Mostly ones we've already done before but we were deffinatly preparing some new ones. "Beautiful" was one of my favorites to sing with Sadie, but I was also feeling absolutely terrified. I closed my eyes and began to sing. As the words began to come out of my mouth, I started to feel more comfertable, as I always do on stage.
After the song was over an applause exploded from the audience. It was only the 5 boys and their band down there, but they made as much noise as about 25 people. I was instantly filled with warmth knowing that we had survived our first song on a real stage, not to mention we were singing infront of One Direction, one of our biggest music inspiration yet.
Rehersal lasted about another 2 hours, and we were all starting to feel the pressure of this tour. As I silently packed up my things to leave, I watched Sadie leave while Niall, getting the signal to go on without her back to the flat. But, just as I was about to head for the door I heard a soft, british voice whisper in my ear.
"You were absolutely brilliant today. I knew you had it in you." I turned to see Harry, ofcourse, smiling as he embraced me with a soft hug.
"Thanks. I was really nervous." I regreted saying this instantly. I didn't want Harry to thinnk I couldn't handle the tour. Him and all the boys had pushed Simon to let us be here and I didn't want them to think they had made the wrong choice.
"Don't be. You two will be great, trust me." There was so much certainty in his voice that it was hard not to believe every word he said. "Do you want to go grab some lunch or something? I'm starved."
I was hessitant to say yes. I'm not sure why, but Harry intimidated me. Maybe it was how perfect he seemed, but I was scared to make a fool out of myself infront of such a beautiful man.
"Yeah, sounds great." He could hear the hessitation in my voice and looked puzzled. So I gave him a reasurring smile and his flawless face softened.
We headed out to his car, where he opened my door for me. I smiled at him and gave a small laugh. How chivlerous, I thought. We drove mostly in silence, I just looked out the window, taking in the beauty of London. Harry turned on the radio and "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran began to seep through the speakers of the car. I couldn't help but sing along. Ed Sheeran was my favorite artist my far, and not singing along would have felt like a crime.
"You like Ed?" He sounded suprised and excited at the same time.
"Like? I love him! His voice is just so beautiful and his music is incredible. I love everything about him." I couldn't help but express my pure happiness I felt when I spoke about Ed Sheeran's music.
"Looks like I might have a little competition." He gave me a wink which entiled he was kidding, but in a way he was right. Musically, I think Ed will always have a different place in my heart then Harry and the boys. But emotionally, Harry was all my heart craved. "Me and Ed are pretty good pals. I could introduce you to him if you'd like."
"Really? That'd be incredible!" I just couldn't hold in my excitement. Me meet Ed Sheeran? It sounded like a dream, but then again, I was already living in one...
"Alright, I'll give him a call later." He laughed, but he sounded like he ment it.
We ate lunch at a small cafe in downtown, and we got stares from everyone who we passed. I didn't mind the staring as much as I minded what they were thinking. Being seen with Harry was one thing, but what they thought about me ment alot, I was deffinately not good enough to be seen with him.
But Harry made me feel so comfertable, it was as if we had been friends for years. As we drove home, he held my hand. Once I felt the cool touch, I looked at him, blushing, and smiled. It felt so right I couldn't believe it. When we arrived at my flat I got out of the car and Harry followed.
"I had a really nice time, thanks" I couldn't help but have a huge grin on my face as I looked at him, he was just so perfect.
"Me too. I'm really starting to like you, Elena." Hearing him say my name was like nothing I had ever heard before; sweet, soft music to my ears. "Really like you."
Harry took a step closer and touched my cheek. As he pushed a piece of my hair behind my ear, I knew what was about to happen. I leaned in andembraced for the most incredible moment of my life, then-"Hey guys! What's goin on? Oh, um, am I interupting something?"
Sadie, with a very appologetic look on her face was standing at the door. I gave her a look that read "I'm going to KILL you."
"Hey Sadie, I was just bring Elena home. I should really get going." He looked extreamly embarassed. Then he looked into my eyes, "I'll see you tomorrow at practice." He kissed my cheek and left.
I walked up the steps to our flat behind Sadie, closed the door, then stopped dead in my tracks staring at her. She knew exactly what was coming, so I didn't hold anything back.
