The next morning, I immediatly went to Harry's flat. Being around Danielle all sad and broken just made me want to be wrapped in his arms. I ran up his steps and knocked on the door. Louis answered the door in nothing but a pair of shorts.
"Oh, hey El. Harry's still in bed, you can come on in." I thanked him and headed straight for Harry's room. I quietly opened the door, kicked off my shoes, and climbed into bed with him. I lightly touched his cheek and he woke.
"What are you doing here?" He smiled as he spoke, but looked slightly worried.
"Liam broke up with Danielle. She was at my place all night, shes heart broken." He placed an arm around me, and I immediatly began to feel better.
"You don't say. Liam didn't say anything about it. Why'd you come here then?" He didn't seem upset that I was there, more curious as to why I would leave an overly emotional girl in my flat.
"I just needed to see you after such a depressing evening. Seeing her really broke my heart. She's just such a sweet girl, she doesn't deserve to be so hurt." I didn't mean for it to come off as Liam seeming like a jerk for dumping Danielle, but in a way, he kinda was. Leaving without a reasonable explination after being together for so long just wasn't fair.
"You don't need to worry too much. I've known Danielle for years and she's alot stronger than she looks. I'll have to talk to Liam, get the details on what happened." He paused for a moment and I layed there in his arms, feeling so at peace. "You didn't come here because you were worried about us, did you?"
I should have expected this question because, well, it was a big reason to why I was there. "Well, it's just so all of a sudden and I needed to know that everything was fine with you too."
"I promise, we're perfect." He smiled, kissed me, then closed his eyes in an attempt to go back to sleep. But I had questions to ask him that were not going unanswered.
"So, I guess I'm your girlfriend now? I mean, thats how you're going to introduce me to people?" I had a taste of sarcasm in my voice as I spoke, to make sure he knew that I ment it in a playfull way.
He gave the most adorable, small giggle, then said, "Well yeah, how else would I introduce you to my mates?" It was so reassuring to know that he was comfortable in telling everyone we were together, expecially his friends.
We drove to practice together and spent the rest of the night by eachothers side. I was dreading going back to my own flat, just incase Danielle was still there. Of course, I felt bad for the girl, she deserved to be upset and we were her friends, so letting it out with us was completely normal. But, I was in such a good mood that I didn't need her tears to remind me of my own insecurities.
When I opened my front door, the flat was completely empty. I flipped on the light switch and saw a letter on the kitchen conter.
Went to spend the night at Niall's, Danielle seems to be better, but I guess only time will tell. I'll see you at practice tomorrow. Love always,
Being all alone for the night was going to be swell. I immediatly went straight to my room, put on my favorite pair spandex shorts, back from my volleyball days that were now deticated to bed time, and Harry's shirt. I plopped myself on the couch with a warm cup of tea and flipped to the first movie I found, Finding Nemo.
As I was driffting to sleep, I heard a light knock on the door. I half expected Danielle to be standing on the other side of the door, another night filled with tears. When I opened up the door, I was suprised to see who I was now face to face with. Liam was standing there in a blue tee, jeans, and his eyes filled with tears.
"Liam? What are you doing here?" I had never really been close with Liam, so seeing him there in the middle of the night was a truely odd sight. He had 4 bestfriends he could easily go speak to about absolutely anything, so why me?
"I didn't know who else to talk to. Do you mind if I come in?"
