"Hey, mind if I sit down?" Harry asked.
"What are you doing here Harry" Bella asked, she was really shocked to find him on the beach late at night, but kind of flattered, she liked having a friend who could actually be there for her. Maddie was all she ever had and Bella didn't think that she would ever talk to her again.
"I thought that you might need someone to talk to, I highly doubt that somebody will be Maddie." He said with an adorable smile. Bella looked down at the sand and smiled, Harry walked over to her and sat down next to her.
"Thanks, Harry, and you're right, I can't believe Niall though, talk about rude." Bella said in a huff. Boy was she mad, nobody had ever been so unkind.
"Bella, I don't mean to be mean or anything but I think you're over reacting just a tiny little bit. I mean.. well.. I... sorry that came out wrong." Harry and Bella sat in silence. It was starting to get a little awkward, but apart from that it was beautiful night out and Bella was quite enjoying it.
"Don't worry, I guess you're probably right, my mum says I have the knack of making everything a drama..." They sat in silence for a few more minutes before Bella continued "...Why did Niall kiss her though?" Bella started tracing an N in the sand and crossing it out a little bit too viciously. Harry watched her, trying to figure out what was going on inside of her.
He gave her a smile and playfully shoved her shoulder softly before saying "She kissed him." With those few simple words he got up and left, Bella was left along in the sand with her own feelings and thoughts. She honestly did not know what to think.
While Harry was walking away he remembered how hurt she had looked when she saw them, he thought about going back and comforting her but it was getting quite late and he was worried that she had gone inside. 'Nah,' he thought to himself, 'She'll figure something out.' but that afternoon replayed over and over in his head.
Bella went back inside shortly after Harry had left, she wasn't sure if he had just said that to spare her feeling or if it was really true, she knew Maddie and she knew that the chances were high that Harry was telling the truth. On the other hand she barely knew Harry, she had only met him yesterday and for all she knew, he lied all the time. She really hoped not though.
Bella tried going back to bed but her head was still spinning. She got up and looked at her phone to check the time, it was three in the morning... she knew that she probably should not wake someone but she really needed to talk and get things off her mind. After a bit of debating with herself she finally decided to go talk to someone. Obviously not Maddie, or her mum, her dad was out of the question and her oldest sister Natasha couldn't care less. That left her sister Hattie and her other sister, Nelia. Bella loved Nelia, she really did, but when it came to advice, Nelia gave the worst of it. Eventually she settled on Hattie.
Quietly she tip-toed down the hall to Hattie's bedroom, she knocked on the door and someone inside whispered "Who is it?" Bella was surprised that her sister was still awake. Bella took a deep breath and went inside.
