"Do you have anything so I can make breakfast?" I ask into the living room of Liam's apartment as I dug around his cabinets. So far I had found a box of cereal, a can of tuna, and a box of Hamburger Helper.
"No, I was hoping we could head out to eat and maybe stop in our way back at the grocery store." Liam announced as he walked into the kitchen changed into a pair of faded skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. I nod and go to get changed into the change of clothes I had picked up when we stopped at my house. After we had dropped off Audrey. Liam offered me a movie night at his apartment and I accepted. So since we were pretty close to my house I had asked him to stop so I could grab a change of clothes. I walked into the bathroom and decided to skip the shower since I had taken one last night before we had started our movie night. I lock the door to the bathroom and change from Liam's t-shirt into a red Vans sweatshirt that I had bought at the mall a few weeks ago. I step out of the pair of sweats that Liam had offered me and changed into a pair of black skinny jeans. I throw on a pair of converse and brushed my hair to remove all of the knots.
"El?" Liam asked through the door of the bathroom with a small knock.
"Yeah?" I asked as a small smile waltzed it's way onto my face. I had been smiling the entire time since this morning, even after all the events from yesterday I will managed to keep a smile on my face.
"You ready to go?" He asked slightly unsure if he should even be asking.
"Yeah." I said opening the door to find him smiling at me with his keys in hand. I walk past him and grab my phone off the coffee table in his living room which was a mess from our movie night. I let a soft sigh leave my lips and I start cleaning up most of the trash that was thrown on the floor, but then I feel a pair of hands on the waist lifting me away.
"We can clean that when we get back, come on I am starving." Liam said with his hand still on my hip leading me out of the apartment. I feel my neck and cheeks suddenly flare up, as his words ring around in my mind. "When we get back." His voice echoed around in my ears. By the time I refocus into the world around me I noticed that we were in the parking lot outside of the building. We walk towards his car, but we get stopped, by a girl from school.
"Liam! Hey, mind giving me a ride?" Leah asked Liam who hadn't even been paying attention to her. Leah actually rode my bus and had two classes with me, but that didn't mean we knew each other. The only encounter we ever had was back in freshmen year in the gym's locker room. She had been blocking my way to my locker and I had gently pushed by while saying excuse me. I had accidentally ended up hitting her shoulder which led to a huge augment in the middle of the locker room. "Liam, can I have a ride?" She asked a bit more loudly as Liam ignores once again. "Liam!" She whines and I only awkwardly stand by on the passenger side of the car.
"Oh hey, Leah." Liam greeted her while opening his car as opening the door to my side as well. I open the door to get in but Leah only pushes her way past me and jumps into the passenger seat.
"So can you give a ride over to Anne's house?" She asks fluttering her eyelashes like an innocent little girl. Leah was the kind of person that knew exactly how to manipulate people, so she got her way. She had had convince the bus driver to drop her off at her door step instead i the usual bus stop. Leah had also convinced the administration of the school that our French teacher had somehow discriminated her. The French teacher ended up getting kicked out on "permanent leave" which had left us with only Spanish as our only foreign language.
"Sure." Liam said sweetly before starting the car as Leah pulls the door out of my grasp to close it.
"Thank you so much Liam." Leah said while kissing his cheek with a soft peck.
"Ellie aren't you getting in?" Liam asked while pointing to the backseat of his car. I get in, strap on my seatbelt as we pull out into the streets. I don't pay attention most of the drive and even after Leah gets off I still stay silent. Something about being put in the backseat seemed to anger me, maybe it was jealously. I honestly don't know or maybe it was just the feeling of being put on the bottom of Liam's priority list. I don't know, but for whatever reason my good mood that been instantly ruined now. As soon as we stop at the local grocery store, I unbuckle my seat belt and step out of the car. "Are you okay?" Liam asks me as he tries to keep up with my pace as I walk into the store.
"Peachy keen." I said coldly while grabbing a shopping cart and pushing it into the store with Liam's arm loosely around my waist.
"You seem angry." He inquires, as if I had been trying to keep my emotions a secret. Although there are many things that I keep secrets my emotions are not one of those things.
I ended the chapter there because i had a horrible case of writer's block and yeah...Plus I had like no time to actually write, since I have school. And believe it or not Leah is based off a real person who I absolutely have a huge hatred towards...don't you guys just hate people like that? I don't know you guys can just dismiss my rant -.- or comment below the type of people that annoy you?
