8. Brittany's Perspective
I really loved the way that the light of the maroon candle at the dinner table reflected into Zayn’s eyes. We talked about our whole life. He told me he was in a boy band, which I assumed was kind of small considering I’ve only heard of it once before. Dinner was over and we got up and walked out of the restaurant. Zayn opened the door for me when I saw dozens of flashing lights and people surrounding us. Zayn grabbed my hand and pushed through the people. I looked around, my head spinning in so many different directions. My brain couldn’t rattle who all of these people were. Zayn told the valet guy to get his car ASAP. The guy ran off to go get the car and Zayn looked over at me, seeing me worried face. “Hey, it’s alright. They are harmless.” He said with a little worry in his voice. I didn’t know what to think. Who is he? Who are those people? I see that they have caught up with us and are running towards us, trying to talk to Zayn, and even me. At the perfect timing, the valet person rode up in Zayn’s car. Zayn opened the door for me and we jumped in. We drove off quite fast, and I looked up at him. “Zayn, who were those people? Why did they want pictures of you?” I asked. “Because they are paparazzi. People seem to really like the band I am in.” I sat there quiet for about a minute in silence. How could I not have thought of that? I felt so dumb. “Let me hear one of your songs.” I said curiously. “What?” Zayn asked sounding embarrassed. “You heard me. Come on, sing one.” “I don’t know if you’ll like it though.” He looked worried, like he might be too mainstream. “Oh really? Because I am already sure that I will love it. Give me the name of one of your songs, I’ll look it up.” “Uh… well okay. Search Up All Night.” I quickly searched it on my phone and pulled it up. I listened to it and it was so good. Better than I ever imagined it would be! I looked at the views on it and it said over 60 million. 60. Million. That is a whole lot of views. No wonder the paparazzi were after him. “Well.” I said firmly. “What?” he said scared, probably thinking that I didn’t like it. “I love it.” I said. I looked over and smiled and he just laughed.
