"Da, I'm coming okay?" I ran down the stairs to avoid more trouble. I really don't understand why he's so strict. Ever since mum died when I was 12...
"Look what Pepper did!" My dad screamed. Pepper was my Cairn Terrier. I looked over to see Pepper covered in paint. I couldn't help but smile. He looked adorable! "What? Do you think that's funny?" My smile dropped. "No Daddy. How did this happen?" He looked at me and said, "I was packing to head home tomorrow, when I heard a crash in the closet. I walked over to see this mutt covered in paint!" I winced when he said the word mutt. Pepper was a present to me from my mom right before she died. He continued, "Go upstairs give this filthy animal a bath! Then pack and if I'm feeling generous, maybe I'll let you go to the beach one last time!"
I grabbed Pepper and headed upstairs. I set him down in the tub and started up the water. I turned to see him giving the please-don't-make-me-take-a-bath look. I laughed and said, "Don't give me that look! You’re the one that tipped the paint can!" I picked him up and set him in the bath.
After I washed him, I started to pack like father had told me. I loved staying at the beach house and I really didn't want to leave. Leaving meant going back to Manchester to go to college. It is my second year at the University of Manchester studying politics and sociology. Boring, right? The only good things about being home are my friends and my job. I model for Hollister which is really fun. People have told me how gorgeous I am but I just don't see it. All I see is a normal, average looking person who just happens to be a model for a clothing store. That's it.
Once I finished packing, I headed downstairs and asked father if I could go to the beach one last time. He gave me approval and I headed upstairs to get changed. I didn't know what to wear so I chose a black bikini with white polka dots and pink hearts. It's my lucky one. Who knows? I might even see a cute boy there.
