I ran outside to see if he was still there. He had already left. What was I going to do? I couldn't return it to him because I didn't know where he was. And the worst part? The piece of paper with my contact information was in the jacket pocket.
I thought about it and realized he would probably come back to get the jacket as soon as he realizes that he has forgotten it.
I was exhausted. As soon as I got to the hotel room, I went straight to bed. I didn't even bother to change out of my clothes. All the boys had already fallen asleep. I laid in bed thinking about my time at the beach. I decided I wasn't going to tell the boys about my experience with Janey because they would all tease me. All I could think about was her brown eyes. And with that, I fell fast asleep.
It was 3 in the morning. Zayn obviously wasn't coming back. What was I thinking? Zayn actually wanting to be friends with a nobody like me?
I checked my phone. 1 missed message from my best friend Ashley. I stay with her during the semesters. She lives like 2 blocks from the college campus and right in the middle of town.
I opened up the text message:
Ashley: Have a safe trip home! I'm excited for a new semester!! I'll bring you to my place from the airport! xx
I replied: Thanks Ash! I can't wait to see you again! Love ya xxx
I put my phone on the charging dock and got into bed. I laid my head on my pillow and fell fast asleep.
*Beep beep beep* Ugh! The stupid alarm. I pressed the off button. Nothing happened. I looked over at the clock. It was only 8. *Beep beep beep* Why won't the stupid alarm go off? I started violently hitting the snooze button. Nothing. I started hitting the clock all together when the radio turned on. The song was of course, "What Makes You Beautiful". I groaned and rolled over off my bed. I quickly unplugged the clock as fast as I possibly could. I wasn't a morning person and I was going to try to block One Direction from my mind. Every time I think about One Direction, I think about how I'm never going to see Zayn again. As cliché as that sounds, it's true.
I headed downstairs and grabbed a bowl of cereal and was angrily eating it. My little sister Emmy, who was sitting across from me, was giggling. I glared at her and stood up to put my bowl in the sink.
Father walked into the room. He was all ready to go. He noticed that I was still in my PJ's and gave me the meanest look. I put my bowl in the sink and trudged up the stairs.
What was I going to wear? Not like it matters. I decided with my blue dress I got from Hollister with a white beanie. I grabbed some last minute things and headed back downstairs. That was when I remembered the jacket.
I walked over to it and examined it. It must've cost a lot. Everything from the material to the design was high quality. His signature was on the side, which probably made it a lot more expensive. I slipped on the jacket and grabbed my suitcase.
I headed downstairs to find that Emmy and father were already in the car. I didn't think I took that long. I got in the car to hear both of them laughing. I never understood why father picked her as his favorite. I mean, I love Emmy and I'd do anything for her, but she can be... Slightly irresponsible and immature. Well, all I'm going to say is that Emmy and I are nothing alike. We don't even look alike.
We arrived at the airport and quickly ran to our flight. Getting through security was a nightmare. For some reason, it seemed like everyone was staring at me. It was probably just my imagination.
We boarded the flight. Father had a window seat, Emmy had the middle and I had the isle. I took out my pillow and put it behind my head. That was when I noticed two teenage girls looking at me and whispering to each other. One blonde and one brunette. They were both extremely pretty so I was guessing they were making fun of me. I tried to ignore them but after 15 minutes I just couldn't take it anymore.
"Um, can I help you two with something?" They looked excited that I even said something to them. Weird. The blonde giggled and said, "Where did you get that jacket? It looks exactly like the one Zayn Malik wore to the Miami concert. It even has the signature in the exact same spot." I looked at the jacket. Oh. Now it all makes sense. I sighed loudly and said, "I, er, got it on... eBay?" The brunette started giggling and said, "Is it the one that Zayn actually wore?" I said, "Yeah, it is." They both look at me with pure amazement. They giggled and asked if they could touch it. I said, "Uh, sure." They both touched it and giggled. I sighed and turned to look at Emmy. She looked at me with wide eyes. I said, "What?" She replied, "You mean to tell me that the jacket I actually Zayn Malik's?" I said, "Yeah... Why?" She smiled and said, "Oh, nothing." I sighed loudly again. This was going to be a long flight.
I woke up around noon. I am not a morning person so I choose to wake up later. I remembered last night. It was one of the greatest nights of my life. I smiled and got out of bed. I headed downstairs to see the boys eating lunch.
"We weren't sure when you got home so we decided to let you sleep in," Harry said. I nodded and grabbed the sandwich they had made for me. After I finished, I went back upstairs. I decided I should probably text Eleanor now. I went into the closet to look for my jacket. It wasn't there. I thought back to last night. The last time I saw it was... On Eleanor. Two things ran through my mind at that moment. She was leaving today and I had no way to contact her. I quickly slipped on a pair of shoes and ran downstairs. I thought to myself, 'Maybe she hasn't left yet!' I was running towards the door when I ran into Liam. He said, "What's the rush?" I decided I would have to lie. I said, "Perrie needs me for something." And with that I ran out the door. I found a cab that would take me to her house. When I got there, no one was home. I realized that I had just lost a special person in my life.
I slowly walked back to the cab and he drove me back to the hotel. I slowly walked into the room when I noticed 5 people staring at me. Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis, and Perrie. I was in trouble.
