The whole restaurant looked at me but Camille ran over to me and hugged me.
Allie: OMG I can’t believe you’re here!
I felt tears in my eyes; it wasn’t going to be a secret that I was glad to see her. When I finally let go of her I hugged my mom and my stepdad. I was glad that both of them were here to support me but the fact that Camille was here just made me really happy.
I hugged Camille again after I had hugged my mom and stepdad.
I was wiping some tears away from my eyes.
Camille: Don’t cry sweetie. I’m gonna stay here with you all weekend and then we’re going back to the school together.
We sat and got some lunch and afterwards I took Camille to my room where she was going to stay. We unpacked some of her stuff, while we did that the boys randomly ran into my room. They stopped when they saw Camille who froze by the sight of Dylan.
Allie: hey boys! This is my roommate Camille. Be nice to her because she’s coming tonight.
They all hugged her, Dylan was the last person who was going to hug her and she could barely breathe.
Camille: OMG… Allie, pinch me! I’m dreaming!
Allie: No you’re not. Just hug him. He won’t bit you, and if he does he’s going to get his ass kicked.
Dylan: Very funny Raff.
Allie: I know I am.
I smiled and winked at Dylan just as he hugged Camille. She wouldn’t let go of him again.
We hang out the whole afternoon and Camille kept drooling over Dylan. I wish I had it as easy as her. Being in love with only one person is way easier than being in love with two.
Camille went back to my parents as we had to be going to the Hoot Fest and warm up.
We stood on the stage and there were so many people, I got really nervous when I saw them. It was my first time to perform in front of this many people.
Austin came up to me and hugged me.
Austin: are you ready?
Allie: I think so. Just a bit nervous.
Austin: It’s gonna be okay. Just take my hand on stage if you’re too nervous. We’re going to do this together.
I hugged him and then walked up on the stage and was ready to go in just as Alex had said my name. He hugged me on his way out. I wanted to say something before I started singing.
Allie: Hey guys! My name is Allie Raff. I’m 16 years old and from Denmark, which you can probably hear on my accent. I’ve been here for a week now and it’s been the most surreal week of my life. I’ve met people that I never in my life thought I would meet. I’m just like every one of you. I’m an ordinary girl living my life trying to live the dream. When my parents came here today, they brought me something that literally saved my life and taught me to live this dream. Her name is Camille and she’s my roommate at school, and I would love to dedicate this song to her, for being my amazing friend.
Camille? I love you.
We sign our cards and letters BFF You’ve got a million ways to make me laugh You’re lookin’ out for me; you’ve got my back It’s so good to have you around
You know the secrets I could never tell And when I’m quiet you break through my shell Don’t feel the need to do a rebel yell Cause you keep my feet on the ground
You’re a true friend You’re here till the end You pull me aside When something ain’t right Talk with me now and into the night ‘Til it’s alright again You’re a true friend.
After the song Peyton’s and my song came on. Peyton walked in on the stage and hugged me and kissed me on the cheek.
We took each other’s hands and walked around on the stage together. The audience loved it, though I saw one face that didn’t. Robert didn’t seem to like that I was holding Peyton’s hand even though we had talked about how things were going to be.
The show was amazing, and for my last song the lights went out and I stood as the only person on stage. Everyone was silent.
I’m feeling like a star, you can’t stop my shine, I’m loving cloud nine, my head’s in the sky I’m solo, I’m riding solo I’m riding solo, I’m riding solo,
