56. chapter 55

They both stared at me for a while and then at each other. Barry was the leader he was the one to make the decision but he was thinking about it for a long time. I actually started to be a bit nervous.

Barry: you’re going to be allowed to get that single out on one condition.

Allie: which is?

Barry: That you’re moving to Atlanta immediately so we can start working in the beginning of next week.

Allie: but it’s my birthday next week.

Barry: we’ll figure that out. But you’re moving tomorrow or there’s no single. Understood?

Allie: fine.

We walked back into the studio. I had a few tears in my eyes. Austin saw it and I didn’t like it. He came up to me and kissed me on the cheek.

Austin: it’s gonna be okay no matter what it is.

His voice was only a whisper. He kissed me on my forehead and then took my hands.

Allie’s mom: Allie?

Allie: yeah?

My voice was sad and sounded like I wanted to give up on everything.

Allie’s mom: never mind.

Michele: okay everyone go take your break. We’ll meet back here in an hour an get the song done.

Everyone walked out of the room expect Austin and my mom.

Allie’s mom: what’s going on Allie?

Allie: I’m moving to Atlanta tomorrow, or else I won’t have any career. I thought I was supposed to celebrate my birthday in Miami but I guess I’m not.

Austin: what about our song?

Allie: it’s going to be released with your album but only if I’m moving tomorrow.

Austin: then I’d like you to move tomorrow. I’ll come to Atlanta for you birthday, and I’ll make sure that it’s going to be the best birthday that you’ve ever had.

I hugged Austin and looked at my mom who didn’t say anything.

Allie: what are you saying mom. Are you ready to let go already?

Allie’s mom: my little girl. You’re growing up so fast. I’ll make sure everything is fixed by the end of the month so you can live here. It’s your dream and you’re supposed to live it.

I walked over to her and hugged her. She was crying. She wasn’t ready to let go but she wanted to because she knew that it was my dream now.

Allie’s mom: I’m gonna miss you but I know that you’re going to do great over here.

Allie: I’ll come home and say good bye to my fans at home soon. I can’t leave them like this.

Allie’s mom: that’s my girl.

Shortly after Barry and Jake walked in. They wanted me and my mom to sign the contract so we did and then we got some pictures taken.

Barry: I’ll pick you up at the airport tomorrow around noon. Be prepared for your life to change.

Allie: It’s changed already.

We shake hands and then he walked out of the door. Jake looked at me and smiled.

Jake: I’m proud of you Allie. I’ve only known you for about 5 weeks but you’re an amazing person and this is going to be good for you.

Allie: I hope so.

Jake: I’m proud of you.

Allie: thanks.

He hugged me and then he left too. I’m glad that Jake was a part of the team. If he wasn’t I couldn’t have worked it out. Barry was to stiff. Jake was more like my friend.

We worked on the song and finished it around dinner time. Then the whole team inclusive my mom and I went out for a dinner at Olive Garden.

My mom was going to stay at a hotel until we are leaving to Atlanta tomorrow. When Austin and I got home I felt sad. I didn’t want to leave Miami but he told me that we were going to do something fun for my birthday.

I sat down on my bed, Austin sat down beside me.

Austin: so you’re leaving tomorrow?

Allie: yeah but you’ll come visit me next week right?

Austin: I’ll do everything I can to be there.

Allie: thanks.

I hugged him and felt the tears that started running down my cheek.

Allie: I’m sorry.

Austin: Don’t apologize. I take it as a compliment.

Allie: I just don’t wanna leave you now that we finally have time to hang out you and me. I love you Austin.

Austin: I love you too but you’re not supposed to be with me. We’ll be brother and sister forever. Promise?

Allie: I promise.

I hugged him again and started packing the few things I had unpacked.

Austin: wanna watch a movie?

Allie: sure just find one, I promised to call Peyton when we got home.

Austin: sure.

I walked out and called Peyton.

Peyton: Allie?

Allie: hey babe..

Peyton: what’s up?

Allie: I am now officially signed and I’m moving to Atlanta tomorrow. My mom is going to get my papers fixed so I can get an apartment from November 1st. And we’re going to celebrate my birthday together next week. I have the rest of this week off to get settled somewhere and then start looking for an apartment.

Peyton: that’s amazing!

Allie: I know right?

Peyton: You know you can stay with me until you find something right?

Allie: yeah but don’t you think your mom is getting kinda tired of me?

Peyton: mom! Can Allie stay until November? She needs to find an apartment here in Atlanta. It’s only until she finds somewhere else to stay.

Tammy (Peyton’s mom): Let me talk to her.

Peyton: sure.

Peyton handed the phone to his mom.

Tammy: hey sweetie, how are you doing?

Allie: Great! Miami is amazing!

Tammy: Wow. I didn’t know you were in the states.

Allie: I got here 2 days ago.

Tammy: oh… So Peyton talked about you being signed.

Allie: Yeah I just got signed this afternoon and Barry Weiss wants me to move to Atlanta immediately, so I was thinking if I could stay with you only until I find somewhere else to stay and an apartment to live in.

Tammy: of course you can stay with us. You’re kinda a part of this family.
