She started singing in another way, and started posting her videos on YouTube. Everyone started listening to her music, which changed her life a lot.
New friends, Teen Hoot, The American Dream and even a little bit of love. ;)

48. chapter 47

My mom looked at me, then at my stepdad.

Allie’s mom: Allie let’s go down stairs and talk about this.

Allie: fine.

I followed my mom down stairs. We sat down with a cup of tea.

Allie’s mom: Allie I know what I promised you but it’s just coming to a point where your stepdad thinks it’s too much.

Allie: but you’re my mom! You’re the one who’s telling me what to do and not to do. He’s not my dad.

Allie’s mom: I know but he doesn’t like that Peyton is sleeping in the same room as you.

Allie: what did you tell him about Atlanta then? That I had my own room?

My mom looked away and sipped her tea.

Allie: You told him that I had my own room? You’re a badass.

We laughed for a while and then my mom turned back to being serious.

Allie’s mom: This is what we do Allie. You get to sleep in the same room as Peyton but to make your stepdad feel better we’ll put in the extra bed.

Allie: So I can’t sleep in the same bed as him?

Allie’s mom: yeah but don’t tell your stepdad.

I smiled at my mom and drank the rest of the tea. I walked back up to my room. My stepdad was out in the kitchen making some breakfast.

Peyton: hey what’s up?

Allie: My stepdad is a jerk.

Peyton: what did he say?

Allie: that he wanted you to sleep in the guestroom. But you’re not going to. My mom promised.

The rest of the day went by fast and before I knew about it we were in the car on our way to Aarhus to do a concert. There wasn’t really anything to say about the concert. It was great. But being with Peyton was better.

The week Peyton was there went by fast but before I knew about it he was going to leave. We had done a few covers while he was there. Everything had been about us and music. I was crying when we stood in the airport and said good bye but I knew I was going to see him again.

When we got home from Copenhagen I went straight into my room and looked through the pictures. Something was different inside of me now that he had been here. I loved him and I was always going to but something was definitely different.

My phone started ringing. I found it but it was the wrong phone. I had both an American and a Danish one.

I found my American phone and looked at the screen. There was a picture of Austin.

Allie: Austin!

Austin: hey beautiful.

Allie: what’s up?

Austin: Just wanted to know if they had called you from Atlanta yet?

Allie: they haven’t but they have been tweeting me about my videos and I’m doing better.

Austin: that’s good. BTW I’m working on a song here in Miami and my mom would like to ask you something about that.

Allie: sure?

Austin: You’ll just get her.

Allie: okay?

I heard how he handed the phone and spoke with his mother. It was something about the album.

Michele: Hey Allie.

Allie: hey Michele, how are you doing?

Michele: I’m doing great. What about you sweetie?

Allie: Fine… Peyton just left. He’s been here the last week.

Michele: that’s good, and how were your concerts?

Allie: Great, both shows were really great.

Michele: that’s good.

Allie: yeah.

Michele: we are actually calling because we were thinking that… Would you like to do a single with Austin? It would be amazing on the album.

Allie: OMG yeah! That would be so much fun!

At the same time my Danish phone started ringing. It was Jake.

Allie: Michele hang on for 2 seconds. Jake is calling.

I answered my other phone.

Allie: Jake! Hey man.

Jake: Look Allie. Do you have time? It’s kinda important.

Allie: Sure just give me a second.

I took my phone where I was speaking with Michele.

Allie: Michele sweetie, I’ll have to call you back. Jake is on the other phone. I’ll call you back as soon as I’m done with him.

Michele: Sure.

I hang up on Michele and went back to speak with Jake.

Allie: I’m here now.

Jake: I have great news for you Allie.

Allie: really?

Jake: yeah. Ellen has asked me to get you back to America and make a show where you and Miley will perform your new single.

Allie: you’re joking right?

Jake: No I am not. She called and asked you to be on her show.

Allie: OMG.

At the same time my mom walked into my room.

Allie: MOM! I’m going to be on the Ellen show! Jake is on the phone, he just told me!

Allie’s mom: det er godt Allie. (That’s good Allie.)

Allie: Why aren’t you exited for me?

Allie’s mom: Because I don’t know anything about it yet and therefor you will not go.

Allie: Jake? Please explain what’s going on to my mother.

I handed her the phone and her and Jake spoke for a long time. He obviously told her everything. After 30 minutes she hung up.

Allie: so?

Allie’s mom: you’re leaving tomorrow morning. Start packing.

Allie: where am I going?

Allie’s mom: special show in Miami.

Allie: you’re joking right?

Allie’s mom: nope. Start packing your stuff. You’re leaving tomorrow morning.

I started packing everything but then I thought for a while. I had to call Austin. I called him when I had found my phone I called him.

Allie: sorry that it took me so long but it was actually really important.

Austin: it’s okay. What’s going on?

Allie: I am going to Miami tomorrow morning. I’ll be there around 8am tomorrow.

Austin: that’s amazing! You can stay with me if you want to?

Allie: sure but I think I’m getting a hotel?

Austin: No you’re staying with me.

Allie: that’s okay with me.

Austin: good.

Allie: so it was about the single?

Austin: yeah do you want to come over and record a single with me? It’ll be good for the album and all the credits for what you do will go to you and you will be paid for it.

Allie: Austin I’m not doing this for the money. I’m doing it because it’s what feels right. Let’s meet up tomorrow?

Austin: sure. Where?

Allie: Meet me at the airport when I arrive. Take a day of and let me see your new house.

Austin: sure. See you tomorrow.

Allie: yeah. I got to go. I’m going to pack the rest of my stuff.

Austin: sure. Bye.

Allie: bye.

I hung up and packed the rest of my things. This was going to be great. I had never been in Miami before so it was going to be nice to see a new part of the states.
