I looked at my laptop as I handed the phone back to my mom.
Mom: so what did he say?
Allie: I’M GOING TO ATLANTA TOMORROW.
I got up in my bed and jumped and screamed! I didn’t even realize that Austin was calling me on my phone at the same time.
Mom: and how long are you going to stay there?
Allie: ONE WHOLE MONTH! AND I MIGHT BE SIGED!
Mom: OMG that’s so good! I’m gonna call and tell your dad.
Allie: mom you know he doesn’t like when I travel on my own.
Mom: Yeah but he has to know that you’re not visiting because you’re leaving the country.
Allie: BTW does my visa still work or should I get something fixed for tomorrow?
Mom: it’s working for 5 years and you got it 2 months ago, so I hope that it’s still working.
Allie: you’re the best for letting me do this.
Mom: I should be going with you but I know that this is something you wanna do on your own and I know you have friends who’ll take care of you. But as I had to the last time I’ll have to speak with Peyton’s parents about this again.
Allie: Of course! He’s already gotten permission.
I took my phone and called up Peyton’s phone and put it on speaker.
Allie: Hey babe. You’re on speaker. And yes I know it’s cheaper to call you on skype. My mom wants to speak with your parents if that’s possible?
Peyton: sure. My mom is right beside me. Go to your laptop while they are talking.
I handed the phone over to my mom who spoke with Peyton’s mom for a long time. It was kinda funny to listen to.
Meanwhile I was skyping with Peyton.
Peyton: So what happened?
Allie: Let’s just say that at this time tomorrow I’ll be in your arms.
Peyton: wait what?
Allie: I’m going to Patchwerk studios! The owner Jake Williams just called me and he wants US to go into the studio together, so we’re meeting at the airport and then going directly to the studios because we’re going to be singing a song together, and we’re going to be introduced to a bunch of people, it’s going to be so great!
Peyton: OMG! Allie that’s amazing!
Allie: I know! I’m starting packing right away.
Peyton: good idea. BTW how long are you going to stay?
Allie: Now don’t scream when I tell you but I’m staying for a whole month.
Allie: I know, and if I get signed I’ll have to move to Atlanta.
Peyton: I hope you get signed.
Allie: So do I. Not only because I would be closer to you but because I’d be more famous and this is really something I wanna do with my life.
Peyton: Yeah me too.
We smiled at each other for a while.
Peyton: GOD! I can’t wait to have you here tomorrow it’s gonna be so great. I just wanna hug you so bad right now.
Allie: You’re allowed to do that tomorrow. Or actually you have to do it as soon as you see me tomorrow.
Allie: I gotta go, mom just finished on the phone and I have to pack some bags for the next month. I love you.
Peyton: love you too.
I hang up on him and looked at my mom.
Mom: you’re going to stay with Peyton and they are paying your food so I’m gonna transfer some money to his moms account.
Allie: sounds fine with me.
Mom: are you sure that you’re ready for this? I mean you’ve only been singing for real, for a year and it’s so fast.
Allie: Mom I’m a big girl and this is something I wanna do with my life. Look how far I’ve come already. It’s really something I wanna do.
This was hard for my mother. She didn’t like seeing her daughter growing up so fast.
Allie: mom I’m gonna be fine I promise. And if I have to move over there we’ll figure something out with you and the rest of the family right?
Mom: of course we will.
Allie: I promise that I’ll visit often, and have you over.
Mom: I know. Now get you bags packed.
Allie: I will.
I danced and sang around in my room while packing all of my bags. I couldn’t believe that I was going back. I couldn’t believe that I was going to be living with Peyton for a month and in a month I would know if I was going to be signed or now. My future was a little clearer now but I still had a lot of things which were coming to me but the only thing I could focus on was the fact that I was going to live with Peyton for a month.
