I had been going home for two weeks now. I didn’t really do anything. I was sitting in my room all day long and I lived in another time zone than the one that I lived in. I sat up all night long and crumpled the one paper after the other because I was trying to write my own songs. My fans told me that I had changed since I was in the car crash and since I was in the U.S with the boys. I told them that I was stressed but the truth was I felt empty and I just wanted to go back to Atlanta. I wanted to be with someone that cared about me.
I got my plaster off after a couple of weeks at home. My trip to Atlanta had been canceled and I was so angry with my mom that I didn’t speak with her for three weeks. The only reason it got canceled was because me and my mother fought because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and I didn’t have a work or a school to go to.
2 months later, I was still speaking with Peyton every single day and I missed him more that I had ever missed a person before.
Allie: Peyton I can’t do this anymore. I’m getting some money and coming to Atlanta. I wanna see you. I miss you so bad you won’t believe it.
Peyton: I miss you too but you can’t runaway babe. It’s wrong.
Allie: I know but it’s just so annoying to be here all the time.
At the same time I heard my mom speaking English and walking just outside my door,
Mom: Yeah but don’t you think it’s a little daring to send her all the way over there just to be in a studio for a couple of weeks. Aha. So which people is she going to meet, and what is she going to get out of it? So it’s basically a free vacation if they don’t like her? Okay you’ll get her.
Allie: it’s open!
My mom walked in and I hold her back for a second.
Allie: babe can I call you back. My mom wants me to speak with someone and it sounds important.
Peyton: sure talk to you later beautiful.
Allie: yeah love you.
Peyton: love you too.

Allie: who is it?
Mom: some dude from Atlanta, he wants to talk to you about your music.
Allie: sounds good to me.
I took her phone and a deep breath.
Allie: hello? Allie Raff speaking.
Man: Hello Allie. My name is Jake Williams. I’m the owner of Patchwerk studios in Atlanta, Georgia. I saw some of your videos online and I really want to introduce you to some of the people here in Atlanta and hear you sing in real life. Though you should know, if you’re saying yes to this you have to listen to everything that I say. It’s hard work and it’s from early morning till late evening. Of course I’ll pay your ticket to Atlanta and back to Denmark when you’re going home.
Allie: Will I be able to live with one of my friends in Atlanta?
Jake: That depends on who this friend is and if it’s someone you can trust. We’re doing everything we can to protect you while you’re here. It’s about keeping our stars as save as possible. You should know, if it turns out that these people like you, you might get the change of being signed and you might the chance of becoming bigger but you’ll have to work hard and you might have to move to the U.S to live this dream.
Allie: I know about that and it won’t be a problem. As you’ve probably seen I have singers as friends in Georgia, Texas and Ohio. It’s not gonna be a problem, and my roommate just moved to the Ohio like a week ago.
Jake: So you’re ready to let go of your home country?
Allie: definitely if it’s going to make me live out my dream.
Jake: I’ll arrange a private plane that’ll pick you up tomorrow. Pack for long time because you’re gonna be here for at least a month.
Allie: I’ll do sir. And thank you so much. I’ll call my friend and I’m gonna stay with him, he can even pick me up at the airport.
Jake: Tell him to meet us at the airport. It’s this Peyton Sanders kid right?
Allie: yeah, do you know him?
Jake: I was planning to let you guys sing together. I saw the video from this Teen Hoot thing, and your voice just goes really great together.
Allie: I’ll tell him to be at the airport then.
Jake: that’s great. See you tomorrow then.
Allie: see you, and thank you so much for letting this happen to me! I’ll be grateful forever!
Jake: don’t thank me yet kid.
