"Hey! You cheated!" Amber yelled.
"No, I didn't. I won faire and square." Salina stated, smiling.
"Guys?" I said.
"No! You cheated!"
"I did not!"
"It's Twister. Get over it." I said, chuckling.
"But she cheated!" Amber whined.
We all just laughed. Then, we put the game away in the cabinet.
"Hey, what time is it?" Sky asked.
"I don't know. Let me check my phone." Salina answered.
She went to her purse. Then, started panicking.
"Uh, Salina? You okay?" I ask.
She didn't answer. Instead, she started looking under the couch.
"Salina?" we all asked.
"No no no no no! It's gotta be around here!" she was saying.
"What?" Aubrey asked.
"My phone! It's gone!"
"Not here." Sky said.
"It's not outside." Amber answered.
"It's not in my car." I answer.
"I didn't see it in the den." Aubrey said.
Salina slumped onto the couch, head in her hands. "Can someone try calling it?" she asked.
"I will." I answered. I typed in her number and pressed the call button. It rang. And rang. And rang. Then, some dude with a deep British accent answered.
"Hello. Who is this?" I answered.
"Who is THIS?"
"Like I'd tell you." I said sarcastically, "Look, that phone you're speaking into is my cousin's phone and we need it back."
"Yes, really. Now tell me where you are so we can come get it."
"At the mall."
"You'll have to be more specific." I was getting impatient.
"At the Pembroke Mall near JCPenny's."
"Alright. We'll be there in a few minutes to come get it." I said. Then, I quickly added, "Don't. Leave."
Then, I hung up.
"Are we there yet?" Amber whined for about the ten hundredth time.
We all groaned.
"Yes, we are." I said, as I pulled into the parking lot at Pembroke Mall.
We all got out and headed to JCPenny's.
"Where did the dude say they were?" Aubrey asked.
"Near JCPenny's. And, knowing where we were earlier, either in the photo booth or on the bench." I answered.
We got there and see about five guys with hoods up and sunglasses. Pretty odd considering it's summer time and also, we're inside.
We walk up to them and I'm the first to say something.
"Uh, what's with the hoodies and sunglasses?"
"Seriously?" the girls add.
Some dude in a Jack Wills hoodie stands up and asks, "You must be Madi uh Styles? I presume."
I freeze. "How-"
"Caller I.D. "
Course. My name in Salina's phone is Madi Styles.
"Uh actually the first name is correct. The last is- wait, why am I telling you this? Never mind. Where's the phone?"
He hesitates. "I'll get it for you."
That's when it clicks. And apparently all of us notice it.
"Sure thing." I say. Then, all of us girls add, "One Direction."
They all freeze. The one with the Jack Wills hoodie, Harry, turned back toward us. He then whispers, "How'd you know?"
We all roll our eyes. I step out, taking the roll of a detective, circling him. Then, in my best British accent, I say, "Not that hard. First, your accents. We could here some of you talking on our way over. Second, your appearances. Harry: Jack Wills sweatshirt."
Aubrey joins me. "Louis: stripes, TOMS, rolled up red jeans."
Then, Amber joins. "Liam: plaid mostly."
Next, Sky joins in on he fun. "Niall: red polo."
Finally, Salina joins in. "And Zayn: Varsity jacket. Plus, I can see your mirror hanging out of your pocket."
Each of us stood in front of one of the guys (our favorite guy) and watched them stare at us ( not in a creepy way!).
Then, we all looked at each other, smiling. And then, at the same time, tore off their sunglasses and pulled down their hoods.
They stared at us, wide eyed. Us girls laughed.
"So, can we have the phone back?"
"I don't think you deserve it." Louis answers, smiling.
"What do we need to do to deserve it?" Sky asks.
"Give us our disguises back." Harry answers.
"Or what?" I ask him, smirking.
Harry quickly grabs my phone out of my front pocket along with his disguise out of my hands. The other guys followed.
"Hey! Give me my phone back!" we each shouted.
The guys ran and we ran after them. We chased them all through the mall then lost them.
"Great. Now what are we gonna do?" Aubrey asks.
"Yeah. They have our phones." Sky said.
Then, we heard laughing. I stopped and smiled. I turned to the girls and put a finger to my lips. Then, I tip toed over to a photo booth. The girls followed. Then, I held up my fingers, counting to three. Finally, we tore open the curtain and saw the guys hiding in there, messing with our phones.
They froze when they saw us. We each held out our hands signaling for them to give us our phones back. They hung their heads and gave them back.
"Bad boys." Amber scolded. "You need a time out."
We all laughed and the guys got out of the booth.
"What were you doing with our phones?" Salina asked, accusingly.
They all smirked and I saw Niall do his little shrug. We all laughed it off. Then, I realized something.
"Oh crap!" I quickly looked at my phone.
"What is it, Madi?" Aubrey asked.
"It's five thirty!"
The girls looked at me confused, as did the guys.
"So?" Sky asked.
"I was supposed to pick up Wyatt at five!"
"Uh oh." the girls all said.
"I'm sorry, boys but we gotta leave. Now." I said.
They all made a pouty face then waved goodbye. Oh, and we all got hugs from them:)
Then, the girls and I rushed to my car and I quickly drove to Ben's house.
"Hi, you must be Madisyn. Wyatt's sister."
"Yes, ma'am. I'm here to pick him up."
"Of course. Wyatt! Your sister is here!" Ben's mom shouted.
Wyatt came running in. I opened my arms and he ran into them.
"Hey, buddy. Have fun?" I ask him.
"Yes." he said happily.
"Thank you for having him over." I say to Ben's mother. "Did you say bye to Ben?" I ask Wyatt.
He nodded and we went to the car. Luckily, there was room for one more person in the car.
"Hi Wyatt!" the girls chorused.
"Hi." he said. He wasn't a talker around my friends. He really only talked to Aubrey.
Then, we left.
"Please?" I beg my mom. I wanted the girls to spend the night. They were behind me using puppy dog faces.
"No. What about Wyatt?" she tells me.
"He can sleep over with Ben or or go camping with Daddy and Riley. Please?" I wasn't going to give up.
"I don't know. Wyatt?" my mom calls for him.
"Yes, Mommy?" he asks.
"Do you want to go camping with Daddy and Riley?"
His face lit up. "Yes!" he says happily.
My mom turns to me. She nods her head.
"YES!" the girls and I yelled.
Time to get ready for a sleepover.
