“Ally? Love, are you awake?” I heard the soft whisper of Liam floating through the air. The bed shifted as he sat down next to me. I kept my eyes tight, trying to block the streaming sunlight from my eyes. Why did this moment have to come so soon?
“Ally?” Liam whispered again. “Ally, we’re leaving soon. Can we talk?”
I groaned in response. I didn’t want the boys to leave, but after the news broadcast this morning, all the boys were set on going to London and investigating. Harry was furious that Damen was released and we weren’t told. I could see that he was frightened. They all were. And we all should be.
“Come on. I know you’re awake.” I could hear him smirk and lean closer to my ear. He was going to start tickling me soon- I could sense it in his tone. “Your legs stop twitching when you wake up.”
Reluctantly, I opened my eyes to see Liam looming over me. I gasped.
“Liam! Your hair! It’s gone!” I sat up quickly and grabbed his head, pulling it closer for inspection. “Why’d you buzz it all off?!”
He shrugged. “Fancied a change today.”
I sat back and leaned against the headrest, contemplating. After a few seconds, I grinned.
“I love it!”
“I wouldn’t have done it if I thought you wouldn’t like it.” He said cheekily and I laughed.
“I have you under my control, Mr. Payne.” I wiggled my fingers and he forced a smile before throwing himself down on the bed. He reached over and grabbed my hand, playing with my fingers.
While the boys were discussing what to do this morning after the news, I went upstairs to sleep. This was all too stressful.
“As I said, we’re leaving in a bit for London.” He mumbled the words, obviously cross with this whole situation. Liam hated him with every fibre in his body. “I don’t want to leave you.”
I leaned down to kiss him on his cheek and whispered “Look, the girls are coming over and we’ll just relax while you’re gone. You’ll only be a few days right?”
“Maybe less, maybe more.” He frowned while continuing to play with our hands. He put them up against each other to compare size. “Hopefully less.” Liam added and his hands went still.
“What if he comes while we’re gone? I won’t be able to protect you.” Liam said, barely a whisper.
“Well, Dani is pretty good at fighting and Kyra always carries around her pepper spray, you know that.” I slid forward as well so I was lying next to Liam.
“Keep 999 on speed dial, alright?” his voice was loaded with worry. If only he knew that I had already been contacted by someone- whether it was him or not, I had no idea.
I laughed quietly but agreed to Liam’s condition. I would do anything to put him at rest about this. If any of the boys had it their way, the house would be guarded full time by police officers and maybe a fire breathing dragon. The next step would be locking me away in a tower.
“Nothing is going to happen while you’re gone.” I reassured him, putting on a big smile. However in side I hoped nothing would happen and never will.
Liam sat up on his elbows and turned on his side to look at me. “Promise?” he said giving me an adorable look. His shining brown eyes bore into mine.
“I promise,” I smiled. “Everything will be okay.” I hoped.
He leaned forward and gave me a soft kiss. He pulled away, his fingers laced in my hair. Liam looked intensely into my eyes and I could feel just how much he loved me.
“I’m going to marry you one day.” He stated out of the blue.
And before I could react to his statement, he dove forward again, kissing me passionately. My arms snaked around his neck whilst his muscly arms wrapped around my waist. His mouth travelled to my jaw, to my neck. I knew I was Liam’s and he’ll never leave me. I also knew that his statement was correct. He will marry me one day, regardless of me liking it or not. But who says I wouldn’t like it, right?
The night drew closer and the boy’s departure loomed over our heads, but all that mattered was right here and now; Liam and I were intertwined in the sheets, time flying all around us. He loved me, he was dedicated to me, he would never hurt me and he never wanted to leave me. Liam was perfect in every single way, and he wanted to be mine forever.
Those next minutes were blissful. I never wanted to leave that bed. I just wanted to cuddle Liam all day and all night long. I wanted him with me.
But, as usual, life moved on. Liam had to leave with the boys. Dani, El and Kyra came over.
And he was still out there.
Hi guys! I know- we don't usually put author's notes at the end of chapters, but I'd like to make an exception... this is my last chapter of Fight for You. J.K is going to continue on without me, and I'm really sorry for leaving you all! But as I wrote in the chapter you just read, life moves on. It's time for me to stop fan fiction. If you read my other fan fictions, don't fret. I'll continue Tonight's Cloudy Sky, but that's it. I might update the Boy with the Red Hair and Can We Fall occasionally, but that's not set in stone.
You were great, and I enjoyed every minute of writing this series with J.K.
Thank you all so much,
