11. Off to the Brits
When she walked in, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. My mouth dropped and Louis laughed from next to me.
"Harry, you're drooling," Jorgie laughed, lifting my mouth closed with her manicured finger.
"Don't kiss her," Danielle repeated to Harry, "You'll get red lipstick on your face. At least wait until after the red carpet."
"Fine," I frowned, pulling her in by the waist.
She smiled and straightened my bow tie.
"You look handsome," She teased.
We had about half an hour to kill and we ended up sitting around and talking while Niall played the guitar. I heard him start the chords of one of my favourite songs and couldn't help but join in.
You were in college working part time waiting tables, left a small town never looked back.
"Wow Jorgie," Liam states at me, "You can sing."
"I guess," I smiled, looking at the hem of my dress.
"It wasn't a question," Louis laughed.
The question had been burning in my mind for days. My pocket was burning with my mind. I was kicking myself, along with all the other boys for not doing it the other day at lunch.
As we were walking out to the limo, I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the nearest broom cupboard.
"Harry?" she asked, as I switched the light on.
"I didn't want to make it a show," I laughed.
I pulled the box out of my pocket and she stared wide-eyed at it.
I had been waiting for this. I didn't want to get my hopes up but. The box could've fit anything. Earrings, a necklace. I didn't know.
"I doesn't have to mean marriage," he smiled, opening the box and revealing a gorgeous ring. It had diamonds and pearls and was very simple yet absolutely stunning.
"It doesn't have to mean that. It can mean a promise. It can mean anything. It can be me wanting to by you jewellery."
I put a finger to his lips and held my left hand to him. He looked down at it and then up at me. I nodded and he slid the ring onto my finger.
"Does this mean..." he looked up at me.
I kissed his lips softly in confirmation.
He tried to pull it deeper and I stopped him and wiped the lipstick off his face, laughing.
Everyone was waiting in the limo and they all looked up when we got in.
"So.." Louis nudged Harry.
"Yeah," he smiled.
Eleanor almost screamed.
"How did everyone know about this?" I laughed.
"About what?" Zayn frowned.
Eleanor grabbed my hand and her and Danielle examined my ring.
When we hoped out of the car, cameras flashed. Harry took my hand and we walked over to get pictures taken. They got group photos too.
Then the boys moved to sign autographs for waiting fans. Everything was so loud that we almost had to block our ears.
The table inside was massive. We all took our seats and I was stuck between Harry and Niall. This was bound to be an awkward night.
