22. Making up
With Niall back at the hotel, things got awkward. He and Liam decided to share a room. Harry refused to talk to him, and I followed lead. The other boys were all trying to bring peace.
"Harry," Liam said at breakfast the day before my sisters wedding, "You have to make peace with Niall."
Harry grumbled something unclear.
"Jorgie?" Louis looked at me.
"Talk to Harry please," Liam begged.
My eyes went to my food.
"She doesn't have to talk to me about anything. Jorgie has explained everything."
"So you want to hear what Niall has to say?" Eleanor asked.
"Yes," he answered.
"And yet you won't talk to him," Louis pointed out.
"Shut up," Harry frowned.
The next morning, I woke at my sisters house. We all got ready together. She looked stunning and the whole day made me think of Harry. I could see him sitting with the whole crew all through the ceremony. He kept smiling and looking at me.
I introduced everyone after. We were down by the water for the reception. Harry met my whole family. My nan and aunty were both very fond of him, taking him under their wing for about an hour while we all watched and laughed. I couldn't help but notice Niall taking a fond interest to one of my sisters friends as well.
I had no idea that Gracie was going to be here. I hadn't seem her since I left the hospital, but as soon as I did, I was drawn towards her.
"Hi Niall," she smiled, "What are you doing here?" She looked surprised.
I didn't know what to say. She was breathtaking and I couldn't form words.
Liam moved to my side and nudged me.
"Oh.. Umm, Harry's girlfriend is Shantelle's sister," I finally mumbled.
She smiled, straightening her glasses, "Small world. I work with Shantelle."
"You wanna dance?" I asked, no subtleness in my voice.
She nodded and took my hand.
"And this is Jorgie's 2nd cousin," Jorgie's Nan babbled on.
"Hey nan, can I steal him back off you?" I heard Jorgie's voice from behind us.
She dragged me away.
"They were nice," I tried to be kind.
"They are annoying, I know," she laughed, "but I love them."
I let her drag me onto the dance floor.
She kissed me softly before I spotted Niall in the middle of the dance floor, grinding with a pretty brunette.
"I'm gonna go talk to Niall."
She looked worried but allowed me to leave, letting Liam, Zayn and Perrie take my place.
"Niall," I interrupted him over the music, "Can we talk?"
He looked scared, but he still nodded and followed me outside.
He sat next to each other near the edge of the water.
"I'm so sorry," he started, but I cut him off.
"It doesn't really matter now. I just want to get past this before it causes a big drama in the band."
"What?" He looked stunned.
"I mean, you are my brothers, but this is the girl I love. It would inevitably cause dramas. I, however, am going to be the bigger person and forgive you and apologise for not taking more notice."
He tried to speak again but I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. I felt Louis join and then the other boys wrap their arms around us.
