I slowly woke up, but I didn't open my eyes. I was afraid, I didn't want to be blind. I wanted to see my baby and watch her/him grow up and turn into a beautiful person. I wiggled my toes and shifted my legs around. My fingers twitched, and I moved my shoulders. As I came to, I heard a steady beeping. I could't wait anymore. I peaked open my eyes and light flooded in. It took me a while, but the world slowly started to get clearer.
I was in the hospital, laying in a hospital bed. Niall was sleeping on the couch on the other side of my room. I looked down at my arms, the where full of needles and IV's. I licked my lips, I've never been this thirsty in my life. I looked over at Niall, "Niall." I croaked. He stirred, but didn't wake up. "Niall!" I said a little louder. He slowly opened his eyes, "Wha-what?" he sat up. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on me. "Julia?!" his eyes grew wide. He rubbed them, trying to rid himself of the dark circles that lay under his beautiful baby blue eyes.
He ran across the small room and grabbed my hand and his me all over my face and hand. "I've been waiting so long to hear your voice and see your beautiful eyes again." he cried. I took my other hand and wiped away the tears falling down his rosy cheeks. He just buried his head in the sheets and cried. "We've all been so worried about you and the baby," he snuffled. I totaly forgot about the baby. "But guess what?" he looked up at me with those beautiful blue eyes, "It's a girl," he was smiling the biggest smile I have ever seen him smile.
"Oh my god Niall!" I squealed. He cradled my head in his arms, "It doesn't matter how long I waited, as long as your here with me now." he brushed his nose with mine and winked at me. "Niall, how long was I asleep for?" I asked. "You were asleep for two weeks..." he looked at the floor. "The longest two weeks of my life!" he smiled. "How did they fix my eyes?" I said quietly, remembering my short period of blindness. "They did laser surgery on them, and they still are the same. Beautiful just like you!" he winked at me. I blushed, and looked away. A nurse walked in the room and smiled at me. "Well good morning Julia!" she laughed, "Sleeping beauty finally woke up!" she laughed. I smiled at her, "Yeah finally! I'm really happy I got my sight back!" "Oh your a lucky one!" she smiled, "They almost couldn't fix it! But somebody paid extra to get the equipment to do the last step," she said to me, hinting it was Niall. I looked down at him, "Thank you love," I whispered and kissed his forehead. "Anything for you!" he replied and pecked my lips. "Alright love birds," she walked over and started to unplug some Iv's, "Julia has a followup appointment to get to!" she said as she shooed him out of the room.
"He really loves you, you know that right?" the nurse asked me, "and by the way my names Honey." "Have you been watching over me? I mean over these last few weeks?" She nodded, "I am. Your boyfriend has been here everyday since the fight. He only left for about and hour everynight to take a shower and eat." I felt all warm inside, "Wow.." "He really loves you, and that baby." she pointed at my stomach. "I couldn't have ever wished for a better man." I gave her a big smile. She laughed, "He's perfect! But come on love, its time to leave for the appointment..."
