I walked slowly behind Liam and Danielle. How was their relationship so perfect? Why couldn't I find someone like that?
"Ticket?" The lady at the booth inturrupted my train of thought.
"Oh, uh.." I fumbled with my purse getting out my ticket. "Here," I handed her the ticket and followed Laim and Dani to the stands. Football games aren't really my thing, but I make exceptions for things like Homecoming. I sat next to Dani and Christa. I'd been spending a lot of time with Liam and Danielle lately, more than I'd been with Christa and Josie. They've been spending every second with Niall and Louis though so it's not like I had a choice. Louis, Zayn and Jack were on the varsity team, which means their playing tonight. Niall, Josie and Harry sat in the row behind us and cheered loudly when the team ran out onto the feild. Jack saw me from the feild, and I tried not to look at him. I knew what I had to do, and it had to be tonight. Dani looked over and winked at me. It had been her idea, and she thought it was the funniest thing ever, I, on the other hand, have never been more nervous.
I walked into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. calm down now Hallie............ I thought to myself. I fixed my natrual waves over my orange sweater. I pushed the sleeves up a bit farther, it was so humid out, which is why I was wearing floral print shorts and Steve Madden boots with my sweater. ok, Hallie, it's time........... I walked out of the bathroom and looked around for Harry.
"Wow, that must be soooooo cool!" Ugh! Just my luck. Ashlie had found him first. I walked up behind Harry anyways and tapped lightly on his shoulder, he turned his attention twords me. I barely noticed Ashlie pouting because all I could see was Harry's broken green eyes.
"Hey," he said looking at me as if he'd never see me agian.
"Hey, can we talk?" he nodded in reply and I grabbed his hand and led him under the bleachers, where we could be alone.
"Hallie, I cant...." he started, looking at his converse.
"No, Harry." I intruppted him. "Please don't stop talking to me, please don't ignore me, please don't give up on me." he looked me in the eye now. "Because I need you in my life." He didn't say anything, he just hugged me tight. I wrapped my arms around his firm body, breathing in the smell of his hoodie.
"But you're with Jack now, I can't take you away from him." he whispered in my ear, still holding me tight.
"That's not gonna last for long," I whispered back. "Not much longer, at all."
When we went back to the game Harry and I purposly sat a few rows behind everyone else, so they couldn't see us feeding each other popcorn and laughing at every fumble. Even after the game ended we stayed there. Everyone had left, but we remained in the stands. I'd stretched out on the bench with my head in his lap and Harry was leaning back using the bench behind us as a backrest and the bench in front of us as a footstool.
"Sing for me." I said, out of no where. He didn't heisitate either.
"He looks at you, the way that I would, says all the things, I know that I could, if only time would just turn back..."
"What song is that?" I ask, looking up at him.
"It's an original." He smirks.
"I like it." then I sit up. "We should go, the team is meetiing up at the pizza parlor downtown and there's something I need to do."
