Trust Me, Please?

(One Direction, NOT FAMOUS)
Bella's life wasn't exactly like any other 'Normal', teenage life. Being different to everyone else, and not fitting in anywhere, only made it harder. On top of being bullied in school, she had heaps of problems at home too. When she meets Louis, she suddenly feels safe, in the warmth of his arms. She thought no one could harm her, when she was with him. She thought she knew what the world was, but little did she know, when she was in his arms in the darkness, things were lurking about. Things she thought only existed in non fictional books. She was wrong, the world was a lot more dangerous then she ever thought. Being with Louis, is putting her and everyone around her in danger. Will she longer feel safe in his arms, or will he scare her away? Will she give up? Or strive for love?

7. ~It's A Long Story~

*Bella's POV*

“Bella? Bella please wait!” I turn to see Harry running after me. “Did you want to come to Starbucks with me and the other guys?” He asked, his accent chimed in the air around us. “Yeah sure.” I respond as he grinned at my reply. “Lets go then.” He said pulling me into the car lot; we trudged through the car lot to his car.

“Wow nice car!” I say complimenting his big black Range rover.

He blushed, “Thanks, it was passed down through the family.” He replied, opening the car door for me. “Thank-you.” I said softly and shyly, he shut the door and ran to driver’s side of the car. As he sat into the seat, he positioned the key in the ignition; The Script ‘Breakeven’ started playing. I sighed, “Oh my god my favourite!” I said excitedly, He looked at me in disbelief. “You like The Script too?” He asked astounded, I smiled and nodded swiftly. “Wow… ” He started, but didn’t quite know how to finish. “What?” I asked quietly, “You’re are just so different to how I would have thought…” He said gripping the steering wheel. “Maybe you shouldn’t judge, before you know.” I giggled; "It's one of Louis' favourites too." He added, as a rush of blood raised to my cheeks. He smiled and turned up the music.

As we pulled up thunder started brewing in the sky, as drizzle started coming down. “You ready?” Harry asked, resting his hand on the handle, I nodded. “3,2…1!” Harry said running out into the rain, Harry turned around and saw me running in the rain, he chuckled. “Come on slow poke!” He yelled, “Oh shut up!” I said trying to keep my hair dry. “Ladies first.” He said as he held the door open for me. "Thank-you." I said grinning wide, “Hey!” Louis called from a nearby table; I walked over to Louis and the other guys. “Hi!” I waved grinning, Louis chuckled, “We beat you!” Harry chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes. “The traffic is crazy!” Harry exaggerated, “Still.” Louis said before sipping more of drink. Harry shacked his head, “Come on I’ll get you a drink, Harry here will take too long to get it for you.” Louis chuckled, tilting his head toward the queue, "I'm quite capable of buying my own drink Louis." I giggled, pulling my purse from my bag. "I know you are, but I’ll be paying today. So put away your purse."

Louis and I hadn’t exactly talked since we kissed; it has made things really awkward between us.

“I’ll have one hot chocolate please.” Louis ordered politely, handing the lady the money. “Hey, I was going to pay! I got my money out and everything.” I whined, “Oh it’s not for you.” He teased. “See my goldfish at home loves hot chocolate. Especially Starbucks!” Louis lied cheekily. I frowned confused, “I’m only kidding with you Bells.” He said shoving my arm lightly. I frowned and pulled out some money, attempting to shove it into his pocket. “Uh ah!” He said covering his pockets. I huffed and shoved the money back into my purse.

“Hot Chocolate?” The lady called, we both went to grab it, but my hand flinched away. “Here you are.” He whispered, “Why are you whispering.” I asked smirking; he shrugged and showed his killer smile.

“Where are the boys?” I questioned Louis, looking around the café.

“There they are.” He whispered in my ear pointing out the window.

We walked out into the chilly weather; I strolled over beside Zayn, whom had a cigarette hanging from his bottom lip, as he puffed the smoke from his mouth. He saw my expression and looked at me with an apologetic look, and dropped it on the ground quickly put it out with his foot. “Sorry ‘bout that… It’s a bad habit of mine.” He said disappointed in himself. “No it’s okay, we’ve all got bad habits.” He nodded agreeing with my statement, he stepped closer to me, “What’s yours?” He said with a sly smile, I blushed and tried to hide my face. The boys chuckled along, “We’ve gotta go! But we’ll see you later!” The boys waved, walking down the street.

“So… Did you wanna organise something for our French project?” Louis asked catching my attention. “Yeah sure! I almost forgot that!” I say softly hitting my head. Louis snickered, and handed me his phone, “Do you wanna put your number in so we can organise something for later?” I nodded and we exchanged phones, and as I put my number into his, a new message came through.

‘Get home now you sack of shit or you can spend your night on the streets again!’ Dad.

“Umm Lou, you’ve got a new message… I didn’t mean to read it.”

A worried expression washed over his face, as we handed back each other’s phones.

He read the message and bit his lip sighing.

What did his dad mean by ‘again’?

I rubbed my arms trying to keep myself warm, as the icy wind blew around my ankles.

Louis dug his free hand and phone back into his pocket, and took a gulp of his drink.

“Come on, I gotta get you home.”

I walked into the house, and pushed the door closed with a huff, as I started to peel off my huge coat. "Damn it!" Tyler shouted a little too loudly, I frowned in confusion, "What’s the matter?" I asked running into the kitchen. He looked at me and back at the book, "We don't have some of the ingredients for dinner." He said running his fingers through his knotty hair. "Hey its okay, no big deal, I'll just make a quick dash down to the shops." I said placing a hand on his back, "Thank-you." He said softly.

I payed for the groceries and carried them out to the car lot, the cold breeze bit at my skin making me shiver violently, as I walked through the dark rows of cars. I quickly loaded the groceries into the boot of the car, slamming it shut; I proceeded walking to the car door. I flung the door open being extra careful of the cars around me. I Lifted myself into the car but was caught completely off guard by a near by rattle. My head snapped in the direction of the sound as my eye’s focused on the dark figure. “Louis?” I called unsure; he tilted his head into the light, “Oh hey Bella.” He said flatly, showing a weak smile. “What are you doing out at this time?” He asked making conversation, “Groceries. I was going to ask you the same question. Why are you alone and sitting in the gutter?” I asked curiously. He took a sighed deeply and looked at the ground. He looked up with sadness in his eyes. “It’s a long story.”

Maybe Louis wasn’t the person I thought he was.

Maybe he was just as broken as I am.

I was so close to finding out the answer.

Who was this guy? Did I actually know him, like I think I do?

Is he who I think he is?

*1 hour earlier*

*Louis' POV*

I locked my car tucking the keys into my pocket; as much as I didn’t want to enter the house I knew I had to at some stage.

I took a deep breath and quietly opened the door before stepping in and closing it behind me, making sure no one heard. I turned around to see my dad in a very angry state. His arms were folded tightly across his chest, his face was beetroot red and he was impatiently tapping his foot on the floor.

“What did I say?” He sneered, “No going out after school!” He roared making me tiniest bit frightened.

“It was for a French assignment.” I replied standing my ground, grasping the arm strap of my bag.

A big frown grew upon his forehead, his fist clenched together his knuckles became white, as he raised his fist high above his head, “Terrance don’t!” My Mum squealed behind him. “Get out.” He murmured,

“But Da-“

“Grab your things and leave! Don’t bother coming back till your behaviour changes!”

I stood in front of him stunned,

“OUT!” He shouted, I ran up the stairs and grabbed my stuff and got out of the house as quickly as I could. The door slammed behind me, as I stepped into the cold, I shoved my hands into my pockets and started to roam the streets again.
