My Princess

I walked down the steps, my hand sliding down the railing, a fake smile plastered across my face. I waved to the invisible audience, and stepped down to the bottom of the staircase. I held up the skirt of my gown a little, making sure not to trip over my long dress. Walking towards my father and mother, I let go of my gown letting the hem of its skirt reach the ground. I stood in front of my father, and he slowly placed a tiara on my head. "You are now known as Princess Victoria Nicolette Lexington, Duchess of Austria!" he proclaimed, and then carefully removed the delicate tiara from my head, placing it back in its glass case. Introducing me, 18-year-old princess to be, Victoria Nicolette Lexington.

11. Your Decision

We both pulled away from the hug, and I wiped the tears that remained on her cheeks. "Glad you're feeling better. Let's go downstairs and finish the twitcam, okay?" I said. "Okay...but what if they still hate on me?" she asked. "Remember what I told you?" I replied. "Yeah..." she said. "Then that's all you need to do." I smiled. We both walked downstairs to 4 very bored faces. "What took you guys so long?" Liam asked. "Were you 'settling some things' again? Did you use protection?" Louis asked. "I gave Victoria a little talk. Now let's continue that twitcam now." I replied. Liam nodded and opened the laptop again, and pressed the "start broadcasting" button. "So, we're back...and we are certainly NOT tolerating hate on Victoria, understand? Okay. We'll try one more time. This is Victoria Nicolette Lexington III, ACTUAL Princess of Austria. If you don't believe me, stop watching this twitcam, NOW." Liam said. The viewers dropped by about 10,000, and I glanced over to Victoria, who looked more hurt than ever after watching the viewers drop. "Well, that was nice of you guys. Over 10,000 of you left. If you guys actually loved us, you'd let us love whoever we want to love and not make an objection, a complaint, and DEFINITELY not an insult just assigned from jealousy." he continued. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Hold on guys, there's someone at the door." Liam said, shutting the laptop. "Don't worry, I've got it." I said to Liam, stopping him from reaching the door. I swung the door open to a man and a woman. "May I help you?" I asked. "Have you seen this girl?" the woman asked, holding up a picture of a girl that looked a lot like Victoria...wait. Oh, no....that WAS Victoria! "Um, yes. In fact, she's right here." I said, opening the door wider to reveal Victoria. "Oh, Victoria, there you are, darling! Oh, me and your father missed you so much! We looked EVERYWHERE for you!" the woman said, giving Victoria a big hug. "So, you're Victoria's parents?" I asked, stunned. "Why yes, we are! And I assume you're the one that took care of Victoria this whole time?" Victoria's mom asked. "Yes...and I'm actually very in love with her..." I replied. "Oh...well, then you're not going to like the news we're about to brake...." she sighed. "What do you mean...?" I asked. "She needs to go home." her dad said. "But mother! I love it here! It may have only been 2 days, but it feels like home. They've been really nice to me, and I want to stay." Victoria objected. "I'm sorry darling, but you NEED to come home." her dad continued. "But--" she tried to object once more. "Okay, then it's your choice. Either come home to be officially crowned princess of Austria, or stay here, and never get your chance to become a real princess. It's your decision." be continued...
