14. Fourteen~"No. Please no."

Ryan

That bullying power point... It told people to stand up for themselves, not to let the bullies get to you and to tell someone.

One. I can't stand up for myself.

Two. Ricky knows exactly how to annoy me.

And three. I can't tell anyone! Ricky would kill me and no one would believe me anyway. He's too popular, too good, too...loveable. Everyone loves my brother.

"Hey mum," says Ricky, sitting on the table next to her. Mum is trying to cook the dinner right now. She's not doing very well. "Can the team come over on Friday? There's a match on at four and we need to celebrate our win."

No. Please no. Mum! Say no! Nooooooo! Not the team! Ricky has to be planning something. He'd only invite the entire football team over to annoy me and-oh yes. He's planning something. That look in his eyes reveals everything.

Mum.

Say.

No.

"Oh, that would be a great idea," smiles Mum, "As long as you keep quiet!"

Great. Just great. Thanks Mum, you've just helped in the murder of your son Ryan.

Ricky grins and runs up the stairs to his room, probably going to text everyone that phase one of the plan is complete. I moan and put my head on the table.

"What's wrong Ryan?" asks Mum, sounding concerned, "Don't worry about dinner, I'm ordering pizza."

I look up at her, trying not to laugh. She always ends up ordering pizza if she's cooking. "I don't like it when the team are around," I say, "They make so much noise!"

Mum laughs and sits down next to me. "But they're all sweet boys," she replies, "Why don't you bring over some of your own friends one day?"

I'd love that, but sadly I have no friends. When I don't reply, Mum puts a hand on my shoulder. "You all right love?" she asks, "You've been so quiet since school started and you and Ricky hardly talk at all.

I shrugged, biting my lip. "Fine Mum," I lied, "It's just school work and stuff..."

And without waiting for a reply, I ran upstairs to my room.
