Summer Nights With One Direction

Amy is prepared for a fun filled summer in London with her Mom. Just hours before their flight, Amy's Mom suddenly cancels due to a work emergency, and her best friend, Tessa, offers to come along instead. They plan for lots of exciting adventures during their trip to London that will make this summer the best one yet. But they definitely aren't expecting to spend their amazing summer nights with the boys from One Direction. Throughout the summer, both girls fall in love and experience some incredible things that they never planned. What will happen when they have to return to their noisy hometown in New York, and leave those delightful summer nights (and their new best friends) behind?

41. When Your Time Comes

Louis went to check if Charles had arrived yet, while I stayed with Maggie. She pulled me into her hospital room and asked me to sign a poster of me. And another of the boys and I.

She folded her posters neatly and placed it gently in one of her drawers. I smiled. "Who's that girl?" she asked, checking the door to see if the coast was clear.

"That's my girlfriend Amy."

"She's very pretty."

"I know. Inside and out." I looked down and back up at her flickering brown eyes. She seemed extremely tired and weak. Her skin had a tint of blue in it and her little body was shaking. She looked no older than 10 years old.

"Do you love her?" she questioned, interrupting my thoughts.

"More than anything."

"Really? What does it feel like to be in love?"

"I can't really explain it. I guess... Well, it feels incredible. You'll know when the time comes."

"That's the thing. I don't think the time will ever come for me." I swear I heard my heart break.

"No, no darling. Don't say that. Your time will come." I wanted to break down and cry, but just then Amy and Eleanor barged in and my phone started ringing. "Hello?"

"Hey lad, Charles is here. Tell little Margret that we'll um, come see her another time. Maybe with the boys."

"Will do. See you in a minute." I hung up and looked at Maggie's pleading eyes. "Lets make a promise. How about I invite the boys next week and we can all come back to visit you." She nodded with a little smile and I wiped her tears, then pulled her in for a big hug. The girls said bye and we met Louis and Charles downstairs.
