He sprang from his corner, death in his eyes, and lunged for my throat...

The Asylum was always run down. Since 1950 it had been shut down. But something is stirring in its depths. A dark soul, a tortured mind. A ghost with a vendetta. 8. Hi-Ho Hi-Ho Off To The Morgue We Go

My eyes were wide, and stinging, partly because of the light that was blazing into my eyes, but the smell which my nose was subject to caused my eyes to water. Like disinfectant, but amplified a hundred fold.

"Danielle! Can you hear me!?" Cole screamed. More gunfire.

"Whats happening?!" I yelled above the racket.

"They got Josh!!" I heard Izzie cry, followed by a wet crunching sound. Joshs' body was then tossed infront of me, his head bent back. I opened my mouth to scream. Nothing came out.

"Shit! Run!" Izzie screamed, "Comms are fucked, DANIELLE, get up now!" I scrambled up at the command, running away from the sounds of screeching, and gunfire, Izzie and Cole on my six. My lungs burned, taking lefts, and rights, blasting through doors, the grim hallways becoming nought but a blur.

I stopped eventually, slamming my back against a wall, catching my breath. Izzie and Cole pushed shut the doors behind us, the iron hinges squeaking from the force. They then began to pile chairs and metal tables at the door.

"Okay," Izzie said, catching her breathe, panting, "How do we get out?" I shook my head, not saying a thing, for fear of the fact that if i opened my mouth i might scream, cry, or throw up. I merely looked at both my remaining team mates. They were drained. Not physically, but mentally. I could see it in their eyes. How long had we been here?

"Look, we need to head for the exit, like now," Cole put forward, "Theres a few ways we could go about it, most direct on is through the morgue, then we take a shortcut through holding cells," his voice was breaking. My head began to throb again.

"Okay Cole, okay, but guns loaded, at all times," Izzie hung her head, breathing slow, "Josh is dead guys," her voice trembled. I nodded, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll make it," I managed to say.
