Emily is recovering from the monster. After rescuing her daughter and marrying the love of her life she is slowly recovering. After a terrifying dream she is not sure whether it will come true. When it happens again she has no choice but to believe it. Even if it kills her for her family.

7. Threatened

The wolf paced. Emily paced. I knew it was her, she ran to the window and banged and thrashed and clawed but made no indent. She howled for hours and wolves answered. I had sat with her until it was too dark to see her with out any lights.

"Goodnight Emily." I had said, I stood and left. What a fool I was to do so...

Click, click, click, click the sound of nails against the floor. I slowly walked towards the door, grabbing the baseball bat that was next to my bed. I cracked the door open and poked my head around the door and in to the hall. There were shards of glass all over the floor, the nearby wall was ruined. Then I saw them. They weren't robbers, or some murder hit men. They were wolves. I couldn't see what colour they were, but their eyes burnt holes in to me. What was weird was that they all had the same colour eyes, an emerald splash leaked around their pupils. The moon's rays reflected off them making them glisten like melted sugar. The leader, a large male I thought, stopped outside my door and chuffed a bark mix. The two leaders, sat and howled. A loud whimper came from Emily downstairs. The male looked back at his pack and carefully ran down the stairs on the laminate floor. His sharp claws clicked like arthritic bones on the floor. There were one set of eyes that had stayed. I opened the door further to reveal a cub. About 6 months. I heard it's happy pants and the wind flow as it's tail wagged from side to side. I reached my hand out for it to smell me, it cautiously reached it's head out. I saw the eyes clearer. It had eyes that looked like a nuclear war. The sharp green mixed with sharp strands of blue. As it's head reached to my hand, her tongue licked my hand. I realised then who's this was. The pack had green eyes, were has Emily had blue. The pup had a mix of blue and green, it was that male and my wife! They came up when I was still with the wolf. I dropped my hand, and placed it firmly around the bat. I walked, still looking in to their eyes, back in to my room. The male walked with Emily by his side. I was backed in to the corner. Victoria was outside.

"Emily, I love you." I had said, almost screaming it to her. There was no difference in her expression. I lifted the bat and slammed it into the pack. I ran, running for my life. A howl of pain. Claws ripped my t-shirt. I was thrown back to the wall. The puppy ran in front of her parents. Protecting me. Risking her life. For me.
