5. Sun Set

Laura's POV: "Shush" He whispered, putting his finger to my mouth. He was inches away from me, his warm breath of my neck. "You don't realise how beautiful you look right now" He whispered. "I am so tempted to kiss you..." He added. "Well maybe you shoul-" He quickly filled the gap between us, pressing his lips gently against mine before I could finish. Our lips moved perfectly together, he gently slid his tongue into my mouth just slightly. He moaned as he leant into me. "Laura.." He said aloud. "Shush" I hushed him. "LAURA!" A new voice took me by surprise as my eyes flicked open. "Arghh, Ruby" I sighed, disappointed that she interrupted my almost perfect dream. "Hurry up! I've waited long enough for you get up, now hurry!" She exclaimed. I checked the time 11.40! I slept in that long. "Oh shit, sorry..." I replied. "Be ready in 10 minutes, I'm starving and dying to dive into that beautiful sea outside" She told me. "Okay, give me some privacy then women!" I told her with a laugh. She giggled and walked out closing the door behind her. I put my bikini on first knowing that we would be swimming later, and put a white chiffon dress over top. I left my hair as it was, it didn't look so bad this morning. I put my black sandals on and applied a small amount of makeup. I grabbed my sunglasses and put them on the top of my head. I then checked my phone, hoping there would be a text or a missed call from a british number, but there wasn't. I grabbed my bag and headed into the lounge/kitchen area. "Oh yay, let's go, go go!!" Ruby almost yelled. "Okay, okay, calm down!" I laughed at her. She dragged me out the hotel room door. As we were travelling down the elevator, Ruby was bouncing with excitement, rambling on about what we are going to do today. By the time we reached the first floor some of her excitement had rubbed onto me and i found myself on a buzz, bouncing around and laughing with her. "Eeeeeek!" I squealed, laughing. "I'm starving! Let's go to some nice cafe or something, my treat." Ruby exclaimed. "How could I say no to that?" I giggled. Finally after what seemed like forever, we found a cute little cafe, call Wave. It was at the end of a wharf, with glistening deep blue water surrounding it. "Perfect." I said. We ordered our food and sat outside. "This place is so stunning!" Ruby said cheerfully. "It is isn't it." I replied. A tall, fit, tan man wearing a black waist apron walked over to us holding our plates of food. "Here you are ladies." He smirked, witha dazzling smile, I notice Ruby get a bit flustered. I nudged her foot under the table and pulled a face at her, she just rolled her eyes at me as her cheeks went pink. "Enjoy your meals." The man said as he walked away and winked at Ruby. "First few hours out of the hotel and you're already hauling them in!" I told her cheekily. "Oh shut it Laura!" She replied and blushed a bit more. "Anyway, let's eat, this food looks amazing!" I said and we both dug in. And amazing it was, i wanted more and more. After that we decided to head down to the beach. It looked so lovely, and the heat was hard to get used to, i could feel my makeup getting sticky. "I'm going in!" I shouted, running toward the water. "Hey! Wait up!" Ruby squealed, chasing me. I got about waist deep before diving under a small wave, the water was so refreshing. "How much I've been waiting to do that!" I laughed. "Let's become mermaids, and never walk on land again?" Ruby asked. "Sounds good, I am quite happy living in this water for the rest of my days." I laughed, Ruby started laughing too, we must have looked like lunatics! We kept swimming until we got a bit wrinkly so we decided to get out and catch up on some much needed tanning. "Let's just never go back to London, okay?" Ruby told me quietly. "Sounds perfect." I mumbled back. We both must have dozed off because as I woke up the sun was setting, it looked gorgeous. I sat up and watched it. The golden sun reflected perfectly against the sea, turning the clear sky to a burnt orange colour. It could just stare at it forever. "Wow.." Ruby whispered. "It's beautiful, isn't it" I replied quietly. She just nodded in awe.
