4. Before (Part 2)

Quinn walked to the headmaster's office with her head down. What did i do wrong? I was just following orders...maybe he doesn't like me.She approached the door to Headmaster Ambrose's office and knocked on the door three time.

Quinn hesitantly opened the door and poked her small blonde head in. Headmaster Ambrose looked into her dark brown eyes with his pale green ones. Quinn felt as though he was looking into her soul; could see what she was feeling. His piercing gaze stayed on her as she crossed the room and sat in the chair across from him.

"I've been expecting you Quinn. Do you have any idea why you are here?" Headmaster Ambrose asked with in a kindness in his voice that seemed too forced. Quinn shook her head, tears welling up in her big brown eyes.

"Professor Doyle told us to draw a picture of what was on our minds, what we dreamed about. All i was doing was following directions, sir." Quinn said her voice shaky, and tears now running down her cheek dripping onto her jumper.

"Very often to have these...dreams, Quinn?"

"Every night...the hooded figure always wants to hurt the man, but the man is nice to me. He gives me candy and lets me play with my dolls all day. He looks a lot like Professor Klienston and-" Headmaster Ambrose interrupted her.

"How do you know Professor Klienston?" He asked sharply, with a distinct edge to his voice.

"He's the one who gave me this," Quinn said as she showed the headmaster her locket. Her hands were trembling as she held the locket in her hand.

"Give me that locket." Headmaster Ambrose practically hissed. Quinn shook her head and put the locket back in her pocket.

"It's my locket..." Quinn trailed off into a quiet sob. Headmaster Ambrose got up from his chair and walked to the back of the room.

"Get out." He said coolly. As Quinn opened the door to leave, Ambrose left her with a glare so menacing, she ran back to her dorm as fast as she could.
