1. Bye, Megan.

June 29th, 2013. The time, 3:30 am.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP!* *BEEP BEEP BEEP* Megans alarm clock went off and scared the four of us. Time to wake up.  We all opened our eyes, and stretched out our arms. We looked around at eachother and started laughing for no appearant reason. In about an hour and a half Megan was leaving for London. We had just graduated out senior year of highschool, her aunt wanted her to go visit her this summer.  She was only going for a few weeks, but it was going to be the longest we've been apart since we'd met. I've known these girls since sophomore year; not long I know but we had been through everything together. I loved them, they were my bestfriends.

After eating breakfast, getting ready, and double checking that Megan and her mom had everything packed; we headed to the car. Jacki, Shayla, Megan and I were all holding hand as we walked outside. Megan put her bags in the trunk and got in the passanger seat. Jacki, Shayla and I all got in the back. A few seconds later Darlene came out and put her things in the trunk with Megans. She shut the trunk, looked around at the neighborhood and took a deep breath. Then, she got in the driver's seat.  Megans brother, along with her dad followed and got in the car behind us.  Her dad was staying back because he had work and such. As were Jacki, Shayla, and I. He was also our ride home.were our ride home.

We were listening to One Direction and all singing along. Typical thing to do at four in the morning. Megan turned around and just gave us a look. Jacki immediately started crying.  "I wont be gone forever!" Said Megan with a slight laugh.

"I know, but remember that time I was in New Jersey for two days but it felt like weeks?" Jacki said looking at all of us,

" You're going to be gone for three weeks. It's going to feel like years." We all sort of started crying, just thinking about how much we were going to miss Megan. It wouldn't feel the same with her gone. She turned around and put her knees up to her chest in the seat. We all quietly cried to ourselves.

Megans mom turned down the radio and broke the silence, "You'll see them tomorrow." She said with a huge grin on her face.  Megan sat up, and said "What!?"  Jacki, Shayla, and I all shot up as well, and clutched each others hands. Megan looked back at us, then back at her mom, back at us, and her mom again.  Her mom started talking again, "It was supposed to be a surprise. We couldn't get them on today's flight, so we got them on tomorrows. We were going to have dad surprise them and I was going to surprise you when we landed. But uh yeah, surprise!"

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" The four of us started screaming, we were all crying again. Only this time, tears of  joy.  Shayla, Jacki, and I took out our phones and started chatting amongst ourselves. As Megan and her mom started having a conversation of their own. I was too excited to even acknowledge what they were saying to each other.

A little while later, Darlene and Megan were still talking and Megan's mom's phone rang. She answered it and started talking to Megan's dad. Megan paused and looked at us with her mouth wide open. She didn't say anything. Just stared.

"What!" We all said.

"My aunt. She um.. She moved to Doncaster."

"Shut up!"  "No fucking way" Words were flying everywhere. We got so loud that I'm not even sure if anyone knew what they were saying anymore.

Shayla screamed "EVERYONE SHUT UP!"  We grew silent.  "Megan." Shayla said again, "What if he lives right next door!"

"Well I'm not going to find out until we're all together."

"Why?" Shayla asked.

"Find out!" I screamed. "You need to!" jacki added.

"I can't. It wouldn't be the same without you guys."

"Okay then, we'll find out tomorrow." I said with a smile on my face.  I don't know what  happened after that, I had fallen asleep. It seemed like no more than ten minutes went by when I was being shaken by Jacki, "Lacie, wake up. We're here." She said with a sad look on her face.  I looked around and realized we were at Logan Airport.

We all got out of the car, and stretched. We helped Megan and her mom get their things from the trunk and tried not to cry. We walked through the doors and tried to find our way to the right flight area.  A voice came on the intercom and said "Flight 197 to Heathrow, London will be boarding in ten minutes."

"That's us!" Said Darlene looking at Megan and linking arms. We started crying again. And all gave each other one big group hug.

"Don't make any new best friends before tomorrow." I said looking up and trying to show at least a slight smile.

"You know I could never." Said Megan wiping a tear from her face.  We all tried to laugh and said our final goodbyes.

Wow, I can't believe this is actually going to happen. I thought to myself. I took a deep breath, and turned around to head back outside for the long drive home.
