Accidental Fate - One Direction

Trine are going to London with one of her best friends - Jessica. They are going to a concert the night they arrive - A One Direction Concert. The hotel is great - and so is everything else. But what will happen when one gets on the wrong floor - one passes out - and new friends get together? One'll get ill and have a pretty bad scare. Some will maybe fall in love. Promises are made and promises are broken.
Moving on is hard - facing the past is harder, and to say goodbye is the hardest.

39. Chapter 39

"Bye, love." I said, before kissing Jack's lips a last time, before I headed out the door. At some point, I felt kind of bad for him, but on the other side, I'd spend some time with him tomorrow, and Niall was only a friend. If he even was my friend. I honestly didn't know, whether he was or not. He missed me - that's okay, right? I mean, I've missed him too through the months, but it just.. faded, if you know what I mean?
I found the little café thingy, Niall suggested that we ate on. I considered, whether or not to go in and wait for Niall. As an  interruption to my thoughts, a black SUV looking car pulled over, and Niall stepped out of it. I sighed almost low enough for nobody to hear. "Hey!" He said with a smile on his face before pulling me into a hug. At first I just stood there, with my arms down my sides, but then I hugged him. God I missed this feeling. Like nothing in the world could touch me - I felt so safe. Wait, that was wrong. I pulled away from the hug, and asked if we should get inside.
We sat down at a table in the back, in case of paparazzi. It didn't really bother me to be this way back in the café. It was nice, and I wasn't that comfortable being around big amounts of people at a time.
The waiter came with some menus, and offered us something to drink, while we decided. "I'll have a glass of white wine, please." Niall said politely. I thought it through, and thought 'what the hell' before ordering a glass of white wine as well.
"So, I've heard the lamb is good." I say, trying to be less awkward than I already was. There was so much silence surrounding us, that I just had at least some of it to leave. "Yeah, it looks good too. But honestly, I could eat anything." He said, while looking up at me, with a smile playing on his lips. I giggled a bit - "Well, you always can." He nodded a bit, "True, true. Expect for that one café in London, where they had those, what were they? It was some kind of toast and then something rather disgusting on it." I remembered - I remembered it as it was yesterday. It had been on one of Niall and I's dates back in London, and we decided to try something new, so we went to this café, which wasn't English. "I think is was vegemite on top of the toast." I said, before sipping a bit of my wine. "Right!" he said, before letting his gaze fall to the menu again.
"Have you decided?" our waiter asked. "I'll have the lamb." Niall said, once again politely. I sighed, and took a quick glance over the menu once again. "And I would like to have the chicken salad, please." I said with a smile on my face. The waiter, said it would be a while, which would be enough time for me and Niall to just talk a bit. When I thought of it, it kind of made me nervous, which was completely ridiculous. Niall was a friend of mine, and this would just be a talk between two friends, about what had happened. It was normal, right?  "So, about this whole talk-thing. I would just like to talk to you about some stuff, and apologize." Niall said with a serious look on his face. What would he apologize about? "Okay..." I said, sounding rather nervous about this whole situation.
