7. An Offer You Can't Resist

Louis’ phone rang on Sunday morning, awakening him from a deep slumber. The alarm clock read 5:30 and small rays of light pierced through his white curtains. His whole body ached. Last night he had finished an entire bottle of vodka on his own and had somehow made it to his bed alive.

“Hello?” His voice was raspy and harsh.

“Louis Tomlinson?” An unfamiliar voice rang through the speaker. “I’m Thomas. Frank sent me your number.”

Frank. Why did that name ring a bell? There was a cough.

“Well I’m calling to see if you would be interested in doing another movie.” Louis shot up. He remembered exactly who Frank was. Frank Simmons was the director for the porno Louis had shot two weeks ago. Yeah, the one that made him six thousand dollars richer.

“Oh!” Louis chirped. “Um… Well…” Louis remembered how easy and flawless the scene he had done was. Even after watching it again on his laptop, he was still surprised what he was capable of. He remembered the way Harry’s curls felt against his face. How his chest felt against his. The warmth of Harry’s release. Even the thought made Louis melt.

“Um… Louis?”

Louis snapped back to reality. “Sorry.” He muttered.

Thomas sighed. “Okay how about this. Meet me at the Starbucks off Fifth Avenue. I’ll bring a copy of the script and a cast list. Sound good?”

Louis pondered for a minute. He thought of the money. He needed more after an alcohol binge last week.

“Sure.” Louis cooed. “Meet me there at five.”

The sun was barely close to setting as Louis walked up to the Starbucks. There was a slight breeze, making Louis’ arm hair rise. He was conflicted as if this was a good idea. He was starting to second guess himself. Nervously, he pulled at his American Eagle shirt’s sleeve, stretching it slightly. As he arrived, he opened the door to the familiar Starbucks scent. The Starbucks off Fifth was always his favourite.

“Louis!” A man sitting at a table in the corner shouted. Louis approached him with caution and smiled.

“Thomas.” He stuck out his hand and shook it firmly. “Sit.” Thomas motioned at the table.

Louis sat, feeling the cold seat against him.

“So,” Thomas began, “What was it like working with Frank?” Thomas had a slight curve to his mouth. He looked just like every other middle aged guy in New York, but there was something Louis couldn’t put his finger on. Oh yeah, he directed pornos.

“Ummm…” Louis shook his hair uncomfortably. “I don’t really have anything to compare it to. That was my only movie.”

Thomas’ eyes widened. “I don’t believe you.” He didn’t take his stare off Louis.

“I’m serious.” Louis looked at his hands, embarrassed.

“You have some talent.” Thomas nodded his head and sipped his coffee slowly. “I will make you an offer you cannot resist.”

Louis’ stomach turned. This guy was sort of creeping him out. Thomas continued.

“Ten. Thousand. Dollars.”

Louis felt his stomach drop. His palms became sweaty and the colour drained from his face. Ten thousand? This was impossible!

“I’ll do it.” Louis spat out. “But… Give me the script first.”

Thomas threw over a stack of papers. “Learn it. You’re on set next Monday.” Thomas stood and left Louis in the Starbucks, the script in his hand. As he flipped the page to the cast list, his heart made a little jump of glee. This time, he was the main actor, with a very special co-star.

Harry fucking Styles.
