1. Another Move

The packing had begun. This is my seventh time moving houses, four of them being in the same neighborhood. I've grown tired of all this moving. I just want to settle down in one place and create permanent friends. I'm not even sure if this is my last time. I am Hugh, Hugh Sanders. 15 years of age and I'm going to college this early September. I'm actually looking forward to college as it will be an amazing journey which may change my life. I'm more excited about the free gym classes I can take part in at Lunchtimes. I can't pay for the gyms in my neighborhood as they are too costly and my family is currently undergoing a financial crisis. I know, It all sounds so depressing and sad, but I'm living.

"Let's get going guys" mum shouted out to the family. It was time to sit in the car and get going to our new house. My mum was always like the boss of the family, even my Dad had to helplessly nod at all the decisions my mum has to make. As we were passing by in the car, I saw a man with a hooded jacket ambushing a young man who had seemed wealthy. This world has become a battle of money. Sometimes I just wish that I was strong enough to go out in to the world and eliminate all those who trouble the weak. I always end up asking my mum if she can send me to some martial arts club, but she always came back at me with my education. "Concentrate on your studies." is all she ever answers to such questions.

I get travel-sick really fast, so it helps me sleep throughout long and tiring journeys. "Okay guys, come on. Help unload all the luggage in to the new house." My mum said that with no spirit at all. I was used to it, in fact the whole family was. I am the only child of this family and that is a very big disadvantage, given that I have to help my mum with many house chores. As I entered the house, I felt a bad aura flowing past me. I wonder how my world would change this time.

Night had fallen by the time I was done helping my Mum with the house chores. I was fully knackered and ready for bed. I tucked away in my new, soft and unused bed. I fell asleep as soon as I hit the bed...

A loud voice from downstairs had awoken me. At first I thought it was maybe my dad exploring the fridge violently for something to eat, he always had night craves. But another loud 'BANG!' had really gotten me on my feet and rushing down the stairs. I'm pretty sure my Dad wouldn't drop the fridge just for his midnight craves. I rushed down the last set of stairs and did a mini jump at the end just to find out that it wasn't my Dad. I couldn't make out what was lurking in the dark. I was sure it wasn't my dad because he always had his glasses on. If he had his glasses on I should've seen the lights reflection shining back at me, however the thing had nothing which resembled that of my dad. I turned to scream and alert the family but in lesson than a second the thing had appeared before my eyes and had already disappeared. I was baffled, I tried to move forward but I noticed there is a huge cut embossed on my chest, blood gushed out rapidly and I fell...

Dizzy, sweaty and exhausted, I pulled myself together and waddled in to the living room and I felt a cold shiver run down my spine. My worst nightmare had come to reality...
