From the Caribbean to the British Isles

Isabela lived in a town of sandy, blue watered beaches. After graduating High School, she's accepted to Cambridge University under the ideas of becoming a world known journalist. Upon arriving to the U.K. she realizes she knows nothing about the country she is in now. But in an unsightly miracle she get help from a mysterious figure. Let's see what Isabela from Isabela will find in her adventures in the U.K.

*somethings might be written in Spanish concerning my roots.*

1. Last night in Isabela

It was torture to realize it was the last night in the house I had spent nearly 18 years in. I was gonna miss the hush of the waves at night. Not being able to walk everywhere. Most of all I had to say goodbye to Alex. My best friend ever even if he was a guy. I was actually surprised he wasn't going to school over there. I mean, he might be Welsh by birth, but he was raised in England.Come on! We'll have fun there. Besides you can show me around. Just like I did when you moved here!; It was hopeless Alex was hot headed. He wasn't going to agree with me easily. I was still too taken by his British charms. I remember the text he'd sent me a few days ago. That left me wondering. Was that old fool playing me? He had always been good at that. Jeez I guess I won't find out until I arrived to England.

Some childhood friends came to visit. It was awkward to say goodbye. Not just to people, but to the places I had seen since forever. I had been in the state of denial for the past few days. I was psyched to go to the UK. But lately I wasn't sure if that was what I wanted. It was too late to back down now.

I finished packing, when my big sister Ana came in and sat on my bed. I knew she wanted something. "Hi Lilibit." She said. "Don't call me that. My name isn't Elizabeth." I yelled. Why did she had to piss me off on my last night here? "Alex calls you that." "Yeah, but Alex is Alex. You're Ana." "Any way, that wasn't why I came here for, since you're going to England..." "Yes?" "If you see One Direction, bring me their autographs and shoe size." I rolled my eyes and held back the urge to laugh. "What makes you think I'll do it?"

She didn't answer and left my room. When I heard her door close I started laughing. Yeah, like I was gonna find them. Me meeting One Direction was like Alex dating my sister. One in a million. 'Sides, I didn't want to meet them. I was going there cuz of school. Not to date and International Boy Band. That was something my sisters would do if they had the opportunity.

I left Puerto Rico at 6:45 am. I don't know how long the flight would be. I didn't really care. I just didn't want to turn around, cuz I knew that if I did tears would follow. When I arrived, I went to the baggage drop out. I picked my stuff and disposed to the exit. But where was it?

I thought that the smartest thing to do would be to ask for help. "Lizzy, isn't nice to see you lost for a change?" Where had I heard that voice before? Masculine, British accent, sexy, Alex. "I thought you said you didn't plan on coming here?" "And miss your face while looking for the right way? That's something I can't miss, darling." I laughed. He looked at me, God! Those Hazel eyes and curly black hair.

After we hugged, we left the airport, Heathrow, I think? He'd arrived 12 hours earlier. He took me to his house in London, Wow! I forgot how rich the Kavanaghs were. "Overwhelming?" "A little. I mean..." "Yeah, that's what I meant..." "Are you trying to distract me?"
