Face the Music

Julia is your typical sixteen year old girl. She lives with her mother and her little sister Marty, she has her insecurities, she has her boy issues, and oh yeah, her love for the British/Irish boy-band One Direction. When her seventeenth birthday arrives, everything seems perfect....until it all fell apart piece by piece. But to every rainy day there is always a rainbow, what will happen when she unexpectedly 'falls hard' for not one, but two of the boys in One Direction? And what would happen if they both like her back? Would rivalry break everyone apart? Or will the fandom get to them first? Just as life is, every situation has two faces. One is an amazing benefit, and the other could lead to sacrifice...

8. Face Truth???

Julia's POV

"Julia can you get your boyfriend off of me?" Louis said in a desperate tone. I almost did a spit take with the water I was drinking. I liked Harry, but hearing myself being called his girlfriend. It was all too fast. "Umm...he's not my-" "Sorry Lou." Harry said making a puppy dog face at him. "Harry and I-" "Hey! What do you guys want for dinner?" he interrupted. Something told me he didn't want to hear me say that we weren't together. But just to see if that was true I tried again. "But seriously Louis we aren't-" "Hey Paul can we change the radio station?" interrupted Harry a second time. By then all the boys but Niall were bursting with laughter at Harry's random outbursts of words to cut me off. "What? I don't like this song!" he defended himself. "If you say so." Zayn said as he pretended to fake cough.

I felt extremely awkward standing there so I excused myself to the washroom. "You know where it is love?" asked Liam. I knew because of my little tour earlier, but I couldn't let them know I was nosing around, so I said I didn't. Liam got up and led me to the bathroom door. "You don't need me to show you how to use it too do you?" he asked reaching for the waist of his pants with a little smirk. "Ha ha very funny." I said. After using the toilet and washing my hands, I was about to exit when I overheard a conversation. "Jeez Harry, you are annoying me right now! You're usually the ladies man. Asking out any girl you fancy. What's different about this one?" "I don't know." Harry replied under his breath. "Ask her out today. Now! She's leaving us reaaalllly soon." Louis emphasized on the word really making Harry twitch. "But she's in-"

"The radio station.." I whispered so only I could hear. I couldn't listen to any more. Obviously, Harry liked that girl at the radio station but she was going to be on vacation to somewhere else for a while. I unlocked the bathroom door and walked to the beds. Neither of them were there so they must have been in the room next door which was the one with the video games. I sighed and sat back on the bed I was placed on earlier.

Suddenly, the curtain of the top bunk of the two beds in front of me opened. "Why so glum?" I looked up frantically to see Niall lying on his bed using his elbow to prop himself slightly up. "Crap Niall! You scared me half to death!" "Sorry! Enjoying Harry's bed?" I almost got a heart attack, the way he said it. "This is Harry's bed?" I asked jumping off the bed. "Yeah. But he was the one who said Paul could put you there. So don't worry about it." At that moment I was confused. Did Harry let me stay on his bed because he felt like he needed to make it up to me that he made me fall? Or was it that he thought I was just 'pretty'? I was sick to death of guys who just dated me because I was 'pretty', once I get one tiny spot of acne; they're gone like the wind. I wasn't the best judge of character coming to think that all by best friends turned out to be frauds. Thankfully, Niall changed the topic as he jumped down to face me standing up. "So you from around here?" he asked me staring into my eyes. I nodded. "And after today, you're going to go back home right?" "Well, I don't have another choice." There was awkward tension around us. "I feel really bad about what happened today Julie." He was the first one to call me that since I had gotten on the bus. I felt more relaxed when he called me that rather than Julia especially with his Irish accent. I laughed slightly. "You sound like Harry."
