Face the Music

Julia is your typical sixteen year old girl. She lives with her mother and her little sister Marty, she has her insecurities, she has her boy issues, and oh yeah, her love for the British/Irish boy-band One Direction. When her seventeenth birthday arrives, everything seems perfect....until it all fell apart piece by piece. But to every rainy day there is always a rainbow, what will happen when she unexpectedly 'falls hard' for not one, but two of the boys in One Direction? And what would happen if they both like her back? Would rivalry break everyone apart? Or will the fandom get to them first? Just as life is, every situation has two faces. One is an amazing benefit, and the other could lead to sacrifice...

30. Face the Midnight Visitor- Pt. 2

Julia's POV

I blinked my eyes rapidly and squinted at the bright sun. I groaned, for some reason my back was as stiff as a board. I finally managed to sit upright and looked beside me. Why was I sleeping on the sofa? And why was Niall here? Suddenly, last night's events came flooding back to me. I pushed it aside for that moment and tried to wake Niall. "Niall..." I mumbled loud enough for him to hear. "Five more minutes." he grumbled back without even opening his eyes. I couldn't help but notice how adorable he looked when he was sleeping. Kinda like a....teddy bear? I know bad comparison. I'm not really the 'brightest' in the mornings. I lightly poked his stomach. "Wake up sleepy-head! And anyways, do the boys even know you're gone?" "I snuck out at midnight from the hotel we're staying at. I don't think they'll notice....unless they wake up...WAIT WHAT TIME IS IT!?" He sprang up in less than a second almost making me fall off the sofa. "SUMMER TIME!" I sang. "Umm...High school musical reference?" He asked stopping in his tracks to look at me. I smiled, ever since I had to watch that movie almost seven times with my sister, I was never the same. Whenever anyone asked what time it was, that would be my answer.

"Well it's 7:30 'Gabriella'. And since we don't have any rehearsals or recordings to do today, the boys would probably wake up at 9 earliest. But maybe not Liam, he like to wake up early for some odd reason. So do you want to have breakfast first before I have to leave?" I thought for a short while. "Sure. But I don't feel like cooking, so can we go to McDonalds or something? I just need to change." He nodded and sat back down to wait for me to get dressed. In about five minutes, I came back down wearing a blue and white striped tank top and a dark blue flare skirt with a thick black belt at its waist. I decided to go natural so I just combed through my already straight hair, and put on some lip gloss. Niall stood up and looked frozen eyed at me. I either looked that good, or that bad.

Niall's POV

Julie looked absolutely amazing. It must have been awkward for her how I was just staring, so I snapped out of my trance rapidly. "Ready to go?" I asked sticking out my elbow for her to hook her arm to. "Awee, thanks Nialler." She chained her arm to mine and I lead her to my Black Porsche which was parked on her driveway.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at the McDonalds location nearest to 'Fairmount Royal York' Hotel, which was where to boys and I were staying until all our Toronto concerts were done. "So this location is about half an hour away from the hotel?" Julie asked me. "Sadly. It's one of the most expensive hotels in Toronto, so they don't allow businesses like McDonalds to franchise near there. Oh and here." I handed her a pair of dark framed sunglasses, while putting on a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses too. "A disguise?" She laughed. "No, a disguise would be wigs and fake beards or something. This, is being a street smart member of 1D." Julie giggled. "I don't think that's what 'street-smart' means... And so, I'm kind of like a celeb now?" She asked excitedly. "If you consider us celebs...then I guess so." We walked into McDonalds and ordered our food. "I'll have 2 McDouble Meal Deals...and an Ice Capp." I moved aside to let Julie put her order on my bill too. "And I'll have 5 McDouble Meal Deals. All with Ice Capps as well." "Wow you must be hungry!" I whispered to her laughing. "No silly! I'm getting something for the boys too." I handed my credit card to the cashier and took the bags of food to an empty table. We decided to eat our meals there, but bring the other bags to the boys at the hotel after. "So...look about last night." I started slowly.

Julia's POV

"What about last night?" I answered. I was playing dumb. I knew and remembered everything that happened in extreme clarity. I also knew that eventually I was going to have to tell Harry about my second, kiss with Niall. But I didn't know how. I was regretting it more and more, second by second. Harry was my boyfriend, not Niall.

"Look Julie, I'm...sorrry. I shouldn't have kissed you. I know you're with Harry..." It was like he read my mind. I looked at Niall. He really did look apologetic, but why was he saying sorry? It wasn't his fault. I continued to drink my Ice Capp through the awkward silence. I finally couldn't take it anymore, I had to say something. "Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault. And if anything, it was mostly mine. I did kiss you back..." I said under my breath. He seemed to smile a little at the thought before turning straight faced again. "So how are we going to deal with this?" He asked with a troubled expression. "What do you mean?" "Do we tell Harry?" He asked again.

I sighed and looked out the window. The right thing to do was to tell him...no matter how hard it was to do. "I'll take care of it."
