Superhuman

Ariana Rae Krallem was your average 17 year old. She was 5'6", somewhat tan, had beautiful long brown hair, dazzling chocolate brown eyes, and was all over a very beautiful girl with a beautiful heart of gold. She was very insecure though. Her life was pretty normal. Her father was dead, though. She lived with her mother and 12 year old brother Liam. But when their world is turned upside down, and the family's house is destroyed, the Krallem family is forced to flee from their home and live in a fancy 5 star hotel until ready to either rebuild their fire-ruined house or buy a new one. When Ariana finds herself in the wrong room, she comes face to face with two boys from the worlds most popular boy band, One Direction. She flees instantly, her insecurities and fears coming to life. But when she catches the eye of one of the boys, and accidentally leaves her phone behind, will her life be changed forever?

2. Floor 24, The Floor Of Celebrities

"Ari... Sweetie, wake up. We're at the hotel." Faintly, my mothers sweet voice called me to awaken from my gentle slumber. Unfortunately, I was still under the powerful spell of sleep and wouldn't wake up.

"Ariana Rae!" My mom called, a slight hint of annoyance in her tone. "Get up!" She paused with a sigh. "Liam, wake her."      At those words, I jolted upright like I had just been struck by lightning. My mother was stupid nonetheless to tell my idiot brother Liam to wake me. The 12-almost-13 year old monster would have slapped me awake. "Touch me and you DIE, twerp!" I hissed annoyedly, my voice rough. I was still upset about our house and it could show. Gently, my mothers hands shook me from my daze.

"Well are you just gonna sit there or come with us to check in?" I blinked and shook my head.

Sorry.." I grumbled gently, taking my hand and embracing the cool metal handle, pulling it back and opening the door. Instantly a rush of cool nighttime air greeted me and I gasped in surprise, goosebumps striking my somewhat tan body. The three of us stood in front of the car, admiring the hotel in awe. It was the only hotel for miles and it looked like a shitload of money to just spend one night! My poor mother. I let a small frown crease the edges of my lips and felt my mothers arms embrace me surely.

"Don't worry about the money dear, I've got enough." She ensured me, her voice soft to the touch. I nodded my head and we advanced forward into the hotel's lobby. It was full of life! There was live music, a coffee bar full of chatty people, and a beautiful water fountain that changed colors every few seconds. Wow!

As my mom and Liam made their way to the hotel's check in desk, I looked at a map of the hotel. Holy shit! This hotel had 25 floors, a rooftop pool, a spa AND a gym! I can hear my mom's money crying.

My attention was fully placed on the map until I heard someone singing. "You don't know, oh oh! You don't know you're beautiful, oh oh! That's what makes you beautiful!" A little 9 year old girl was singing  popular song called "What Makes You Beautiful" by the British -and Irish- boy band One Direction. She sang it well, especially for her age. Hmm.. One Direction. I fancied that band. I wasn't like obsessed or anything but these lads were extremely talented and had very well written songs. I actually had heard a rumor that they were staying at this hotel. Ha, not likely though.

My mom came over to me, 3 shiny plastic keys. "We're on the 24th floor, guys. Usually that is only for celebrities and special guests, but they have no other rooms. Liam and I will be checking out the rest of the hotel, okay Ariana? You go on upstairs." I bobbed my head in an approving nod and took a key from my mom's hands gingerly.

I ran to the elevator, and as I got inside I mumble to myself. "Floor number 24, room 2436." The elevator doors enclosed me in the moving chamber that would deliver me to the right floor. My mother's words echoed in my head. " Usually that floor is only for celebrities..." That meant a LOT of room. Sweet!

DING. Oh, jolly good. I had arrived to floor number 24.
