Ariana Rae Krallem was your average 17 year old. She was 5'6", somewhat tan, had beautiful long brown hair, dazzling chocolate brown eyes, and was all over a very beautiful girl with a beautiful heart of gold. She was very insecure though. But when their world is turned upside down, and the family's house is destroyed, the Krallem family is forced to flee from their home and live in a fancy 5 star hotel until ready to either rebuild their fire-ruined house or buy a new one. When Ariana finds herself in the wrong room, she comes face to face with two boys from the worlds most popular boy band, One Direction. She flees instantly, her insecurities and fears coming to life. But when she catches the eye of one of the boys, and accidentally leaves her phone behind, will her life be changed forever?

13. A Very Lonely World

As Paul came, me and Niall rushed to the van and dived in. "Thanks Paul." Nial breathlessly said before turning to me. "Are you alright, Ari?" He questioned, concern deeply revealed in his eyes. "I'm fine, Niall. I was fine sleeping too, you know." I teased with a giggle watching as he blushed and gently threw back his shoulders in a shrug. "I didn't want you to be mad at me when your sleeping face was all over the news." He shot back, and I blinked. "Will I really be all over the news?" I asked, shocked. Niall nodded, and I wasn't gonna lie, I was kind of excited. "That's.. so cool!" I mumbled to myself. Niall had heard what I said. "Yeah, it's cool for a while. But then media tears you from your insides and depict the smallest things into these big dating dramas and all this other worthless shit. Fame can be fun, dear Ariana, but it's also a very lonely world."

I looked at Niall, and noticed a slightly uncomfortable look on his face. I wrapped my arms around him and surrounded myself in his warmth, a smile curving my lips. "Niall, I won't be alone. I have you and the boys, if the boys want to even meet me.." I mumbled and he chuckled. "Of course they do." Our conversation was cut short by Paul slamming the brakes on the van and causing me and Niall to both fall forwards. Yeah, we kinda forgot to put on seatbelts. Oops. I gasped as I fell harshly on my back and Niall fell right on top of me. Well, if things could only get even more awkward. Niall's cheeks grew hot fast and I giggled as he got off and looked at Paul. "What the hell was that for?" He roughly asked and Paul turned with a stone cold face. "Fans are swarming the hotel, some even managed to find your room number and are up there. It's not safe for you and Ariana to go back." My eyes widened, what? "But where will I go?" I asked him.

Paul let out a small sigh and turned his gaze to me. "You and Niall will have to spend the night in a secret flat I rented out while we're here incase something like this happened." He explained to me, and feeling a little dumb, I nodded. "Ooh, alright." I mumbled before sitting back in my seat and staying quiet the rest of the ride there.

- 30 Minutes Later-

It took us a little while to get to the flat, but it took us a little bit to hide our indentities as well and get in without a problem. Paul handed Niall the key to the flat and told him the room and everything. "Thanks, Paul!" Niall and I harmonized as he walked away back to the van. Niall and I made our way inside the flat and closed the door. Good timing to get here too, because it started pouring not long ago. "I hope it doesn't storm too bad." Niall mumbled and I shrugged. "Is wittle Niall afraid of some thunder?" I teased with a baby voice, puffing out my lower lip. Niall looked at me, raising his eyebrow. "No. But wittle Ariana should be scared of Big Bad Nialler!" He called before he jumped at me and tackled me to the ground. It didn't hurt that bad, because I landed on a carpeted area and the carpet was very fluffy.

"Niall get off!" I grumbled, pushing him off with no problem. "Whoa, you're a strong one." He said and I threw him a wink. I was pretty strong and I wasn't afraid to admit it. I stretched my arms out, giving a small yawn. Just then, the room illuminated to a light three times greater than it had previously been. A large crackle soon boomed after, which made me scream. Ever since I was a little girl, thunder had always been so scary. Not only that but, let's face it, in all the scary movies thunder appears right before someone gets murdered. I felt arms wrap around me and I jumped, ready to smack someone. I turned to see it was Niall, his eyebrows cocked gently. "What's wrong?" He questioned, his voice smooth.

"I've always been afraid of thunder. it just.. scares me." I whimpered, extending my arms and wrapping them around his neck gently before embracing him fully, my head on his chest. He rubbed my back with one hand and held my waist with the other. Honestly, I was quite comforted. I closed my eyes and let a small tear wither down my cheek. For some strange reason Niall almost reminded me of my father, who died only a few short years ago. I could feel myself shaking slightly and I think Niall did too. Niall lifted me up off the ground and carried me in a bridal-styled manor to the biggest bedroom in the flat. He gently laid me down on the bed and pulled the duvet over me and gently kissed my cheek to calm me down. "Get some sleep, okay love?" I nodded weakly and closed my eyes, hearing him leave.
