7. "Gifts"

Louis slid on a pair of Levi’s skinny jeans, an American Apparel sweater and a charcoal, loose fitting beanie. He grabbed his red toms and ran out the door excitedly. His hair was combed perfectly and curved to fit the beanie exactly. He put on his sunglasses and tossed his hair. It was 78 degrees outside and slightly cloudy. Louis zipped up his sweater so a bit of his bare chest was showing.  He turned to the right and paced himself towards Harry’s house.

A few minutes later, Louis arrived at Harry’s doorstep. He rang the bell and was greeted by an older, slender woman with golden brown hair. She had dimples and a few freckles across her cheeks.

“Can I help you?” She asked, her eyes wide open.

“I’m looking for Harry.” Louis said with a smile. She was about to turn Louis away and say he wasn’t home, but Louis saw Harry fly down the stairs.

“Hey, Louis!” Harry said excitedly, “Ready to go?” Harry had a tangerine Bench. sweater on and a muscle tank top underneath. He also had on a pair of super tight Lucky Brand jeans and a Jansport backpack. Louis was aroused already by what he was wearing. Harry threw on some aviator shades and kissed his mother on the cheek. “See you soon.” He cooed. She waved and Louis walked towards Harry’s car.

They both stepped inside and Harry threw his backpack on the back seat.

“Where are we going?” Asked Louis.

“You’ll see.”

Harry and Louis drove for a while until they arrived at a small Chinese restaurant at the edge of Beach Town. “This is my favourite place.” Harry remarked with a smile, “I only bring special people here.”

Louis and Harry walked in to the restaurant. The waitress who looked like she didn’t speak very much English greeted Harry with an excited smile.”

“Harry!” She said excitedly, “Welcome.”

“Hi, Jen.” Harry replied, “This is Louis.” Jen took Louis’ and squeezed it tight. “Welcome.” She smiled.

She led Harry and Louis over to a table and handed them menus and a teapot and cups. “I’ll be here to take your orders in a minute.”

“Thank you.” Louis and Harry said at the same time. Louis flipped open his menu and browsed the different categories of food.

“What’s good?” He asked Harry. Harry winked and returned to his menu. Jen walked over and in her soft voice asked, “Ready to order?”

“Yes.” Harry said, “We’ll have two number thirties.”

“Good choice.” She said as she grabbed the menus off the table. “They will arrive shortly.”

Louis and Harry sat in silence for a few minutes. They didn’t know how to start the conversation.

“H-How are you?” Harry stuttered. “I mean, after I left.”

“I’m better now.” Louis said looking at his lap, “But I wasn’t feeling so hot yesterday.” Harry grabbed Louis’ hands and put his over top.

“You’re always hot, no matter how bruised or sad you may be.” Harry said, looking into Louis’ eyes. Louis blushed and looked away, smiling. No one had ever been as comforting to him as Harry could be. Not even his mother.

The intense moment was cut short when Jen returned to their tables with steaming hot pork buns. They smelled amazing. The heat evaporated off them like throwing cold water on a hot pan. Louis licked his lips. Jen set them down and smiled. “Enjoy.”

Louis dug in. There was no waiting for Harry. Harry chuckled and grabbed one himself. Louis had his first bite and almost came at the taste. They were salty, yet sweet and the buns were baked perfectly.

“This is the most amazing thing I have ever eaten in my entire life.” Louis said covering his mouth with his hands.

“I thought you would enjoy them.” Said Harry with a one sided smile.

They ate in silence, stuffing their mouths full of pork buns. When they were all gone, Louis wiped his mouth with his napkin. He stared in to Harry’s green eyes and smiled.

“Do you want to go for a drive?” Harry asked, “I know a great place we can go.”

Louis put down his napkin and smiled. “Of course, let’s go!”

Harry left a twenty on the table and thanked Jen for the meal. Him and Louis walked over to his car and got inside. “Do you have your iPhone?” Harry asked. “We can play some music, if you want.”

“Yeah!” Louis plugged his iPhone into the car and searched for music to play. “Do you have that *NSYNC song? It’s gonna be me?” Louis pressed a song on his phone and smirked. J.C.’s voice played softly through the speakers.

“I think we should have some fun.” Suggested Harry. Harry pinched the volume dial and turned it up all the way. He opened all the windows and even the sun roof. Louis laughed loudly and smiled at Harry. Passerby’s on the sidewalk stared at them in confusion why two men would be listening to *NSYNC at full blast. Louis and Harry were not just listening, they were belting out the lyrics to each other too. When the song ended, Louis pressed shuffle and Kayne West’s “Heartless” boomed through the speakers, vibrating the car.

“How could be so Dr. Evil, you’re bringing out a side of me that I don’t know.” Harry sang. Louis laughed. Harry thought he was the most adorable person in the world. They drove around for hours, just singing and laughing. Harry grabbed the volume dial and turned it down. Louis could still hear the beats pounding in his ears.

“We’re here.” Said Harry excitedly. He jumped out of the car and grabbed his backpack out of the back seat. Louis got out of the car and noticed they were standing on a grassy cliff. Harry unplugged Louis’ phone and plugged in his own. “Kyoto” by Skrillex played loudly through the windows. Harry put his backpack at the edge and gently pushed it down. It slid and hit the bottom.

“Let’s go get it.” Harry said winking. Louis laughed at Harry’s attempt to be a flirt. Harry ran up to Louis and embraced him, their lips locking together. Harry pushed Louis down to the ground and slid on top of him. They were at the edge of the cliff, so Harry threw Louis down, the two tumbling down together. They tumbled down until they reached the bottom, Harry’s backpack only a few feet away. Harry was on top of Louis and put his hand in Louis’ hair. There were twigs in it, but his hair was still silky smooth. Louis placed his hand on Harry’s soft cheek. “I love you.” Louis whispered.

“I love you too.” Harry said while brushing Louis’ hair aside. He knelt into him and touched his lips to Louis’. Louis let Harry explore his mouth with his tongue, while Louis held Harry’s firm waist. Harry stopped kissing Louis and looked deep into his eyes. “I brought you something.” Harry whispered.

“Right now?” Louis questioned the timing of another “gift.”

“No, you slut.” Harry joked, punching him in the shoulder. “I brought you a real gift.”

“The gifts you’ve given me in the past are pretty real to me.” Louis added, sitting up and letting Harry retrieve his backpack. Harry searched through his backpack until he found a small box wrapped in newspaper.

“Open it.” He said, handing it to Louis.

Louis took the box. Harry scooted closer so that they were facing each other. Crossing his legs, Harry had an excited glimmer in his eyes. Louis smiled and started to rip off the paper. Louis removed the final piece of paper to reveal a long purple box. He opened the box and was amazed at what he saw.

Inside was a small gold chain bracelet, with small studs every centimeter. They were emeralds, shaped like small squares. “Oh my god Harry, I love it!” Louis screamed. He grabbed Harry close and kissed him passionately.

“It’s beautiful!” Louis said as he slid the bracelet on his left hand.

“It looks great on you.” Harry complimented. “I’m glad you like it.”

Louis smiled. He could feel tears in his eyes.

“Oh! One more thing!” Harry exclaimed. He crawled over to his backpack and pulled out two large bottles of Jack Daniel’s whiskey. “I have one more place I want to show you.” He handed Louis a bottle and said, “Drink up.”

Harry grabbed his backpack and the two walked up the steep hill, holding hands. It was starting to get dark and Louis had no idea where Harry was taking him. For all he knew, Harry could be bringing him to a prison, or even an abandoned warehouse that he could set on fire. No matter what, he trusted Harry and got in the car. Harry took a huge swing of the hard whiskey. Not wanting to feel like a wimp, Louis took a large swing too. They drove and drove until both bottles were gone. They were so drunk that everything became funny, even running over a squirrel.

Harry found the beach entrance and drove his car through the sand, until he reached the more deserted part. “This is my favourite spot on the entire island.” Harry pointed and gestured at the scenery. There were huge black rocks and…. Really nothing else. There was a small covered area for when it rained under some more rocks and a place for them to sit, on of course, rocks.

Harry turned the music to full blast, playing “I want to know what love is” by Foreigner. “Want to dance?” Harry asked Louis, a large toothy smile on his face. Louis’ heart soared. No one had ever asked him to dance before.

Harry walked over to Louis and grabbed his hand. He pulled him over to centre of the beach and positioned his legs so they were shoulder length apart. Louis followed and slid his hands from Harry’s up to his shoulders. Harry set his gentle hands on Louis’ boney hips. Louis spaced his legs apart and swayed to the music with Harry.

Kelly Hansen’s voice sang through the speakers. Harry sang along quietly and pressed his forehead to Louis’. At the chorus, Harry whispered to Louis, “I want to know what love is.” Louis continued, “I want you to show me.” Louis cooed. “I want to feel like love is.” Harry continued. “I want you to show me.” Louis touched Harry’s lips with his. Harry pulled their bodies closer and continued to sway to the music. Their crotches touched and Louis felt himself harden slightly. They continued to sway as the song changed to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Harry lip synced the lyrics, letting Louis feel his warm breath on his face. They both smiled and looked into each other’s eyes.

“I love you so much.” Louis whispered, just loud enough that Harry could hear him. “I’ve never felt this way for anyone before.”

Harry smiled. “I love you so much, Louis.” He gripped his hips firmer, “I want to be with you forever.” Louis smiled as Harry’s hands slowly slid down to his butt. Harry pressed his hands on Louis’ cheeks and squeezed gently. Louis flinched, but didn’t stop Harry. He enjoyed it. He would never push Harry away.

The two danced until the playlist was over and ended with a kiss. “I’ll drop you at home.” Harry said, taking his hands off Louis’ butt. Louis felt sad. He could’ve danced with Harry forever. But he knew George would be angry. It was already 2am.

“Thank you.” Louis whispered, making his way over to the passenger side of the car. He slipped inside and waited for Harry to start the engine. They were off. They drove in silence for ten minutes until Louis finally spoke up. “Harry,” Louis started, “You are the most amazing person I have ever met.”

Harry smiled. “I love you so much, Louis.” He replied. “I promise you I’ll stay with you. I’ll take care of you.”

Louis felt tears in his eyes. He had never had someone say that they would protect him. That was exactly what he needed in his life.

Harry pulled up to Louis’ house and stopped the car. Louis instincts completely took over. He unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned onto Harry over the arm rest, kissing him passionately. Louis could taste the whiskey on his lips.

“I want to, now.” Louis whispered seductively, still lying on top of Harry.

“Here?” Harry asked with a confused look on his face.

“Any time, any place.” Louis said, kissing down Harry’s neck. Harry placed his hands on Louis back and received the kiss. Louis was an amazing kisser. He worked his tongue perfectly. A thought of Louis giving him oral crossed his mind, making him hard.

“You like that?” Louis asked, feeling Harry become firm. Harry couldn’t let Louis do this right now. Louis was already in enough trouble because of him.

Harry’s thought was interrupted by Louis’ hands undoing his pants. Louis knew exactly what he wanted.

“Louis,” Harry protested. “I think we should wait.”

Louis looked disappointed. He wanted to thank Harry for what he had done. How else was he supposed to?

“I promise we can later.” Harry smirked, cutting off Louis’ train of thought, “but right now, it’s best if we wait for a while.”

“Alright.” Louis said sadly, doing up Harry’s pants. He slid back into the passenger seat and opened the door. “I love you.” He said as he left the car, then slamming it shut.

Harry rolled down the window. “Louis! I love you too!” He yelled out. Louis laughed and walked up to his front door. Harry drove away. Louis took a deep breath and prepared himself for the beating he was about to receive.
